Al Gore Facepalm | WE COULD NOT CALL IT GLOBAL WARMING ANY LONGER SO WE CHANGED THE TERMINOLOGY TO CLIMATE CHANGE | image tagged in al gore facepalm | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
What will the scam be called next?

"Scientists" called it ether, then they changed the terminology to sub-atomic particles.

That's how you sound bro

6,000 years ago a fertile, green and wet area occupied what is now the Sahara Desert. I suppose it changed to desert because the Egyptians used diesel equipment to build the pyramids.

That's not the same point. We agree there, that the climate is in flux and natural changes occur often. Where we don't seem to agree is that as knowledge advances, so does nomenclature.

The term global warming was dropped because the data no longer supported warming.

Right. The data supported extremes. Hence the very normal name change. Those are time magazine covers, as if they're some kind of measure of scientific consensus? I think we agree about ridiculous certainty many people have when it comes to the complex topic of the climate. I think we agree that CO2's role is exaggerated. I'm saying that as knowledge increases, things including names will naturally and reasonably change. Saying they're full shit because the name went from global warming to climate change is a bad angle.

I don’t believe “climate” can be measured on anything less than a 1000 year period. I know that may seem arbitrary. But how can climate scientist claim climate change versus weather cycles on significantly less than 100 years oh data? Like that is not arbitrary?

What youre saying sounds good to me for all I know. Maybe there's something in the deeper study of the topic that suggests why they can make predictions or claims on data sets of less than 1000 years, maybe not, but you can't expect them to get everything right immediately.

The current bandwagon is increased CO2 from fossil fuels will cause a green house effect (what used to be global warming), but it is now called “climate change “ and is blamed for blizzards and polar vortexes. You cannot have it both ways blaming CO2.

there is undeniable evidence that climate change is real, to think that there are people out there that are so stubborn that they cannot except full undeniable evidence.

And you put your faith in a snake oil salesman promoting anthropomorphic climate change who flies around the globe in a private jet, lives in a 15,000 square foot mansion with a huge carbon foot print, wrote a book and made it into a movie that had to have 13 INCONVENIENT falsehoods and inaccuracies corrected before a British court would allow it to be shown in schools, and makes $2million each month from a fund investing in “green” companies?

Ummm, what? Climate change is real, it’s just plain fact.

Science cannot even forecast weather accurately beyond a week or so.

Bruh that’s because climate change is caused by humans, weather is not.

20,000 years ago +15,000 feet of ice cap sat atop what is now New York City. Are you telling me it melted because the maximum estimated global population of 10 million people were driving hummers and cooking on gas stoves?
[deleted]
0 ups, 2y,

No, it melted because of other natural factors, including random patterns of heat, natural CO2 from methane (cows and other large animals mainly contributed to this) and other things

Can you POSSIBLY fathom that those other factors (like Milankovich cycles,) are still at work?
btw- “random patters” is an oxymoron.

Sorry I didn’t mean to say patterns, I meant a different word I can’t remember lol. Anyway, yes, those factors are still at work. That’s why climate change is real. When humans came into the picture and started using more co2 and chopping trees down, it added to the other factors and nearly DOUBLED the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Why don’t you believe things clearly already proven by science?
