Ok, president Zelensky is a jew himself and would most certainly not stand for nazism and fascism in his own country. I'm not saying Ukraine is like a perfect angel, there have been screw-ups on both sides of the war, but I don't take kindly to people spreading misinformation just to give a place you don't like and have probably never even heard of or visited before. The Ukrainian people are some of the strongest people I know, and the overall culture and country are great. The atrocities, war crimes and human rights violations that have been committed throughout this war are a large number and I doubt you even care to look at anything other than putins speeches as your news sources during this wretched war. Please stop spreading misinformation about countries, and go find something productive or better to do with your life.

Because the Stafford Act (sponsored by Ridge) limits FEMA to natural disasters or excessive property damage- as in people's homes were destroyed as part of the disaster (weather or man-made).

That didn't happen here.

But let's say we send FEMA in anyway. What could FEMA do?

Test the water and supervise the clean up? The EPA is already doing that as that's their job.

Maybe investigate why the disaster happened? Well, the DoT is actively doing that, as that is their job.

Maybe help with public health? That's HHS's job. And they're already there. Already doing that.

So...what exactly do you want FEMA to do here as the thing they do is help when a whole town has been destroyed and the minimum bar for their assistance was set by a Republican who wanted small government?

I get you want them to do more, but why get mad at Biden for a law the Republicans introduced and a Republican President signed in 88?
