It specifically protects the right of individuals and groups to hold opposing viewpoints that may be unpopular to others. In my experience, people who grew up under a dictatorship don't advocate it. One of the most patriotic, loyal American citizens that I know is a man who was born and raised in the Soviet Union and served a full tour in the Soviet Army. He and his family legally emigrated to the USA when the Soviet Union fell. He would never dream of advocating what your beloved Gradufascistimo calls for, because he has experienced the oppression that comes from totalitarian ideals.
