Exactly. But no, the Left just wants to erase and rewrite their history, as well as the history of so many other great Americans.

Yes! and when you learn that Jews vastly disproportionately dominated the Transatlantic Slave Trade, as well as the entire world trade for at least 400 years, but today insist that nobody's ever had a reason to dislike them; and you learn that Arabs enslaved White people in the millions; and you learn that the Turks were still enslaving Whites -after- the War Between the States which claimed 1,500,000 White casualties; and you learn that Africans enslaving Whites got so bad the Dutch and the British both united to send warships to stop it; and...

It is true. Slavery did not exist in Europe at that time. African slave culture was adapted by Europeans and brought to the Americans. Slavery is African culture and African heritage.

Last week I created a meme that touched on this and just submitted it to the political stream. I wrote a novel, "Father John - A Life in Season", and one of his homilies discusses how pervasive slavery has been in world history, touching every continent and every culture. You might find that meme interesting, (and if you do, you might find the book very interesting).

Read that meme just now. Good stuff. Much better than Milton Meltzer's [Slavery: a World History] which "forgot" to mention Whites enslaved by the millions. "Europe? What's that?" Thomas Sowell also has a quality chapter on slavery in his release -Black Rednecks and White Liberals-. Cheers.
