Did the OP meme make it seem like they gave any f*cks about Griner.....?

If the big issue was the Marine left behind and how trump allegedly would've got him back.. .....Why didn't he?

The big issue is trade value. Putin outraded the Biden Admin. Not surprising based on his record. Should have refused the trade unless it was both of them. Trump at least didn’t get outraded by Putin.

Biden: brings home an American citizen.

People on the right: "yabut the Russian guy is worth more..Biden got outtraded."

Biden cannot win. Doesn't matter if he would've brought the Marine home or not.

Likely not, it’s hard to escape the traitor tag 🏷️ once you’ve done the things he has. He still got outraded and it would be harder to say that if he got them both out.

The "traitor tag"... given to him by you... person on the internet who thinks the Russian is worth more than the American.

Considering we've been openly supplying the country they're currently at war with billions of dollars in weapons and they apparently are now even getting bombed in their own country, I'm surprised Russia gave us back anyone right now.

He earned his traitor tag and reinforces it repeatedly by being a commander in chief who repeatedly abandons soldiers and Allie’s while cow towing and supporting our real enemies.

Well considering all that he should have been dealing from a position of strength instead of weakness. It’s about virtue signaling leftist bs. Bombing Russia will only lead to escalation and death for more Ukrainians and Russians. Lol funny how democrats used to protest against war and now are all for it. I guess that’s easy when your people aren’t the ones being slaughtered.

As far as the context of this conversation ie Whelan... No.. not really. As I already said trump also didn't bring him back. If trump is not a traitor for "abandoning" Whelan, than neither is Biden. And who is to say Biden wasn't negotiating from a position of strength? As I said I'm surprised he got anyone back right now. Plus Russia's guy had already been in our prison for more than a decade. Griner just barely got in.

Seems like you might be trying to drag Afghanistan into this conversation though and if so, Biden literally pulled out the troops first and big picture ending that war has saved who knows how many lives of our servicemen. Yes 13 died in the exit... but more than that typically died each year under trump and you don't see the right making countless memes about remembering them do you?

All of this also completely ignores the Marine that President Biden DID negotiate back earlier this year, Trevor Reed. A veteran who, similar to Whelan, was captured in Russia during Trump's presidency and was "abandoned" by him.... Brought back by Biden.

Democrats do protest wars but particularly when they are not seen as justified. I'm sure there are plenty of Dems who think WW2 was legit. The holocaust was clearly a problem. Afghanistan was kind of a question mark now considering we already got Bin Laden. Russia seems to pretty clearly be simply trying to take over Ukraine by force.

"I guess that’s easy when your people aren’t the ones being slaughtered."

Simply looking away would be far easier. Sending them weapons seems to be the best way to help them fight for their country without getting too entangled.

Note I said combat deaths, three soldiers died due to accidents in the period after negotiations, but not from enemy action. So no combat deaths until Bidens disaster of a withdrawal. One which also saw him strike innocent children with a missile in a lame attempt to show strength after the attack on our soldiers and civilians at the gates. Trump would have been roasted for that. And there were 1000 Afghanis exchanged for the 5000 Taliban.

Nothing was timed. The POTUS, who is cloaked in immense power, had the power to conduct the withdrawal as necessary and hold them to the agreement or negotiate a modified agreement. Biden owns the exit and it was rife with poor decisions and execution.

Opium has always been currency in that part of the world and is always a part of political considerations and cash flow. How did that production manifest on our shores? I didn’t hear of huge increases in hype deaths. Nor massive seizures coming into the country.

Equating North Korea with Russias Nuclear capability is ridiculous.

Biden is not a traitor for not bringing back Whelan, he’s a traitor for allowing the country to be invaded and unchecked drug smuggling at our border. There were no combat deaths in Afghanistan since Feb 2020 until Bidens disastrous withdrawal, which as you all routinely point out was negotiated by Trump. Bidens’ method of doing it was disastrous and he gets no credit for getting out since he didn’t negotiate it and botched the withdrawal.

Democrats protested the Vietnam War. How is that different than the Ukraine? Democrats used to be anti establishment. They are the establishment now and pretend their still the rebels while promoting war and dancing with nuclear exchange. Ironic that they claimed Trump would do all that and didn’t, but cheering on Biden for doing it.

Speaking of Afghanistan and drugs.. interestingly enough, opium production kind of skyrocketed the entire time we were in Afghanistan.

I often point out that Trump's Afghanistan deal involved releasing thousands of Taliban fighters from jail.... (Biden would've probably been crucified for that!) And the deal didn't even involve people from the the democratic government we were allegedly trying to support if I remember correctly. And so ya it all fell apart. Their president fled the country. Shocker. And it was timed such that a possible new US president might be the fall guy... Who's to even say trump would've followed through with the plan or not had he been re-elected. Seems incredibly "BDS" that you want to try and stick Biden with only the bad aspects of the exit and none of the good though.

How was Vietnam different than Ukraine? Well for one, our men kept coming home in body bags. As you said it's easier to support war when our people aren't getting slaughtered. Maybe the Vietnam war would've had less protests if we didn't have boots on the ground.

And as far as Trump and war... He played his own nuclear war games with Kim Jung Un and his "much bigger button".. and those "love letters" and the meeting with Kim that went nowhere.. "Little rocket man" continued shooting rockets before and after them during the trump administration. I think you're looking back with rose colored glasses. South Park captured the moment pretty well.

That's the question the Trumpanzees have no answer for.
