The gunman was formerly known as Nicholas F. Brink. He was a little teen-aged snot who was bullied in high school mercilessly by other teen-aged snots.
He petitioned the courts for a name change when he was 16.
If the police in Colorado had charged him when he made a bomb threat against his mother, he would have been 'red-flagged' and would not have been able to legally buy the gun.
But, apparently 'red-flags' are only to be used against legal gun owners who have committed no crimes...
