Actually, screw what I just said, but just know unless you’re providing a factual rebuttal and not spewing bullshit I’m not replying to anyone who comments on this
But this isn’t my opinion this is what I learned. Thus please take it with a grain of salt cause it may not be 100% factual and it may not be what any of you guys learned. Just have an open mind ig.

Back in the civil rights movement we had 2 people (way way more amazing people are also involved but I’m just using these two as examples, because they’re completely different, yet very similar and as well known in the culture
MLKJ and Malcom X.
MLKJ was a peaceful protestor. And as a result things got changed. He was present in the building when that one act (or something) was signed. (Malcom X may have been as well but I think he was assasinated prior to this. Otherwise I’m sure he would have attended)
But Malcom X, while he was influential to the movement, got a lot done via preaching (which he later quit being apart of due to scandals and conspiracies he found out about involving his role model) but sadly some of his words, I believe, we’re Misunderstood… and thus those words helped form The Black Panthers.
While some sources say they’re more self defense (and they were. Don’t get me wrong they did good things! Provide safe transportation for school kids (both of color and white) and transport food to the needy) they were also involved in lots of illegal and violent activities. Which caused the government and the people to hesitate when it came to giving them more rights that they did Infact need.

And now, in modern day we have those two groups as well.
The peaceful Protestors… and the violent ones.
And, granted I’m not always looking at the news, due to modern thinking and social influences… the BLM stuff I see is all violent now a days.
Which isn’t stated in media as “they did it for a good cause” they say it along the lines of “…these violent acts…” and that won’t convince the people that it needs to convince.

I think more people need to do more peaceful protest. And I also think more people should be informed and should inform people about facts in these issues.

Also! As a final word! Lots of these problems are the medias fault.
You never hear about a white police officer killing a white criminal/suspect
You never hear about a colored police officer killing a white criminal/suspect.

Media only tells about the white on colored violence.
And that needs to stop

I dont like BLM because it's kinda racist to white people-? It would just be the same thing if it were with whites instead of blacks
0 ups, 3y
I think it’s over exaggerated.
One thing could happen to a white guy down the street and literally none of use would do shit.
But the moment that exact same thing happens to a person of color ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY!! BLM is summoned. But only if the offender was white. No one bats an eye at black on black violence, which… I’m sad to admit… is more common than white on black violence… (statistically speaking anyway)

Every life is valuable
Even people who may have done some bad things in the past it’s not worth killing them
SO THATS WHY IMPRISONMENT EXISTS
😀👍

A movement that was years in the making, sparked by a few events within the year 2020. I do support the general idea but usually I never liked the idea of defunding the police. (We need to reform some things for the US of As boys in blue to prevent police brutality). I never went to any of the protests but I support the movement.

I'm not saying I hate black people but it's kinda dumb

A useless movement carried out by the simple hate for law enforcement because people refuse to trust the system and facts. They violated the first amendment right by rioting and looting small businesses who can't afford good lawyers. They forced these poor businesses to support them, otherwise they get looted. And also taught children to think shooting police officers is ok. The entire movement overall would have made MLK spin in his grave.

Guilty of a crime he technically didn't even commit.

yeah but that’s how a lot of things happened
when you’re fighting for a good cause but your opponent listens to nothing but violence that becomes your only option

still against the law to threaten a judge and try to influence the outcome of a trial
0 ups, 3y
Fr fr.
I don’t care what the movement is… nothing is serious enough to where you have to threaten someone’s life.

Violence is sometimes the solution when no one will listen to anything else.
But for this instance… violence will get you nowhere other than jail, and your entire community ridiculed. And you ruin it for everyone

the person on trial was guilty of police brutality right?
in most cases, judges have a bias towards officers and will try not to find them guilty
which is why so many corrupt officers have gotten away with the stuff they did
they made those threats because they demanded justice for who was affected by this officer, and because they knew that if no one was watching the officer would get off scott-free

not just about law, but justice and morality in general
sometimes higher powers make mistakes that hurt people “below” them
and if they aren’t gonna fix their mistakes or admit to them on their own, then who’s going to do it?

Lots of the ideals of the movement are flawed also… like defunding the literal vanguard that prevents the USA from becoming the irl purge. There are better approaches to that problem like reforming tbr training system.
0 ups, 3y
defund the police isn’t a blm specific thing and not all of blm is in support of it
there should be some revisions in that area though

I'm irish, where's my movement, where Irish lives matter, when we literally had riots against us. Thought so.

You see, no matter what I put here… it’s gonna have some kinda controversial stuff…
Cause I see it both ways.

So I’m not saying anything and you can’t get me to.
