Sort of ironic dutch, that you make a fairly valid criticism of the republican party, yet probably support Biden and the fact that he has taken zero responsibility for the multitude of f**kups he's responsible for since taking office. Am I right? If not, that's great. Let me know which of his f**kups Biden *has* taken responsibility for. Thanks.

This is a pretty straightforward buck-stops-here as far as political speeches go.

The Afghanistan withdrawal was certainly an Oval Office decision (Trump set it into motion with a deal with the Taliban, but Biden chose to abide by it).

As far as other things that have happened during Biden's term, you'll have to be more specific. Presidents get blame for (and credit for) things that their policies have at best a minimal effect upon. The economy being the classic case.

Even tho I wasn't addressing you KF, I would rather reply to your comments than uncle dutch. We usually disagree, but it's usually clear you've thought through your reply. I doubt the same could be said of dutch.

Anyway...

"This is a pretty straightforward buck-stops-here as far as political speeches go."

This is an attempt at humor, right KF? Even taking into consideration the little disclaimer at the end, I saw no 'buck stops here' in those comments. Granted, I didn't read the entire thing; I did scan it enough to see that they had to make several corrections to what Dementia Joe said. Facts never have been his strong suit. I did watch that speech live (or maybe it was on C-Span, but I did see it in its entirety) and my reaction now is the same as then; absolutely zero admission of responsibility for anything.

I could be wrong. Perhaps you could point me to the part in those remarks someone else wrote for him, where he admits to f**king up?

Re the economy, I think presidents have far greater ability to f**k it up than they do to make it run well, and Biden is a classic example of that. His relentless war against the US fossil fuel industry is a good example. And it's not like anyone should be surprised, because he said during the campaign that he would do exactly what he has done. I just wish the green new deal types wouldn't try to force us off fossil fuels (or even nuclear) until renewable sources of electricity have the capacity to meet the demand, which they clearly do not, yet. Hell, here in Taxifornia, they don't even want us running our dishwasher or clothes washer/dryer between 4PM and 9PM. When we do they hit us with a surcharge. Trump was roundly mocked by media "experts" when he pointed out during the campaign that renewable energy couldn't meet the demand. As usual, his way of explaining it brought on some of the mockery, at least from those who focus more on style than substance. Still, as is often the case, he was right and they were wrong.

Sorry to veer off on a pro-Trump rant, but it was at least tangentially related to Biden's f**kups! The damage he's done to US fossil fuel industry is only illustrated further when he has to beg sleaze ball tyrants in other countries to increase their oil production. Talk about making a mockery of the presidency... whoa! That's it in a nutshell. No need to go into details of his ass kissing on the recent trip to Saudi Arabia, right?

This, dutch, is a perfect example of why I'd rather discuss anything of significance with KF than anything at all with you.

I stand by that meme. (thanks for giving me the view, and the link for others, btw...) You've got a defeated, possibly bitter individual who took on Trump and lost, who said she would do "whatever it takes" to keep Trump out of the white house. I suppose I have to explain the meaning of "whatever it takes" to you now, right?

And since speech is considered violence to your type (which of course means violence is speech... when it suits your purposes; pretty sad for you, actually...) I would think that were the roles reversed, and Trump had said he'd do "whatever it takes" to stop somebody, people on the leftard side of the aisle, including their stooges in the media, would be going apoplectic and screaming about what a lunatic he is. Good for thee but not for me, should be the new motto of the demotard party.

And if she actually backs up her pathetic rhetoric with action, what would she do if Trump wins the next election?

Please enlighten me with some examples. Or can't you think in the abstract?

So clearly you're not very good at explaining yourself, if you think that simply saying "Says the guy who posted this: 6qduby.jpg (click to show) LOL" can be considered a thoughtful reply. I'm quickly learning that your replies are not particularly substantive and barely worth anyone's time.
