could be courtship, bridal gift or mating. sometimes they use webs for kind of bondage :D looks like the bigger one is male as he has boxing gloves (pedipalps). highly doubt he will eat a potential mate, to be pregnant wife. its not a trap web and if she was seen as prey she would have flee probably he sent friend signal through the web first (my guess)
