Agree with most of everything except fot #4. United States is NOT a Christian nation and never was. To make that claim 100% of its population has to be Christian, and we are lucky if 10% of it are real Christians. The only "Christian nation" is God's kingdom. The proof that United States is not a Christian nation is the very reason why we have so many issues, and the issues are not just happening now.

Here where I disagree with you. It was a Christian nation. Everything that our founding fathers did when forming this nation can be traced right back to the Bible. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution both trace right back to the Bible. Christianity was taught in our public schools for over a century.

You didn't have to be a Christian to live here. Christianity is not a tyrannical religion. There have been those who have tried to make it tyrannical. It is based 100% on freedom of choice. Jesus never forced anyone to follow Him. He asked. God will never force anyone into heaven.

Freedom is why the 1st amendment prohibits a state religion at the federal government level. However, after our founding there were about 4 states (I think) that had a state religion. The states could do whatever they wanted. Eventually those state religions went away because they were a bad idea.

You are correct that God's kingdom will be the sinless Christian nation but until then the United States of America, at our founding (excluding slavery) was the closest we have ever had to a true Christian nation. Many European nations had/have state religions. When that happens it forces people not of that faith to pay taxes to support that faith. That is wrong.

According to Gallop, 69% of Americans today claim to be Christian. That ranges from those who regularly attend church services and are very devout to those who barely think about it but because someone in their family is a Christian they will claim that they believe in Jesus Christ.

However when you look at the polling the percentages drop when people were asked how important Christianity was to them. 49% said it is very important. 27% say it is fairly important and 25% say it is not very important. In 1965 70% of Americans said that religion is very important.

It is declining on purpose. Marxism is an atheistic political system that cannot abide anyone believing an anything higher in authority than the state. The state is the Marxist god and obedience is mandatory.

Because of that the Marxists have pushed very hard in getting Marxism into our culture by replacing ideas that this nation was founded on with Marxist ideology. Our education system and the media has been overrun with Marxists. Nearly every movie or TV show that has been produced in the last 30+ years has taken a hostile tone to religion, specifically Christianity and Judaism.

I am a Christian, and I was actually quoting my pastor here "To make that claim 100% of its population has to be Christian, The only "Christian nation" is God's kingdom". Now, that there was more Christians then when the country was founded compared to what there is now, that I do believe.

That makes sense. I don't know if you are familiar with David Barton or not. He is a Christian and an historian. I went to see him a few years ago. He's a frequent guest on Glenn Beck's show. The man is amazing. The left hates him a calls him a fraud but he collects documents and artifacts from all over the place. He has the second largest collection of historical documents about America. The largest being the Smithsonian library.

When I saw him speak he pointed out in great detail just how much the Bible can be found in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. And he has the documentation to prove it. Something the left has none of.

This nation was founded by men as a Christian nation. When Jesus returns His nation (i e. the world) will be founded by God.

The nation that Jesus will build is the Kingdom of God. The nation our founding fathers built is not the kingdom of God but a nation whose organization, structure and laws are are based on the Bible.

This latest assault on Christianity is made to look like the Christians are trying to destroy this nation. The left has it completely backwards. The Christians built this nation brick by brick. It is the left who is injecting an entirely foreign ideology into this country. The most destructive ideology that mankind had ever thought up.
We were founded on Christian principles that are 180° the opposite of Karl Marx. Marx, who, in his spare time, wrote love poetry to Satan, was inspired by Satan to inflict the world with as much misery as possible.

They are the cause in the decline of Christianity, freedom, prosperity, morality and every other positive and good thing that our founding fathers risked their lives to give us. The signers of the Declaration of Independence all were certain that they would be executed for treason but they signed the document regardless.

"The left hates him a calls him a fraud"

Because he is a fraud. He has no credibility among academics, and one of his books was pulled by his own publisher because of the inaccuracies it contained.

"he pointed out in great detail just how much the Bible can be found in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution"

Nothing in the Bible about freedom of speech or freedom of religion. Read the Ten Commandments.

"And he has the documentation to prove it. Something the left has none of"

Good one 😂

"This nation was founded by men as a Christian nation"

Show us where the Constitution says that

"The nation our founding fathers built is not the kingdom of God but a nation whose organization, structure and laws are are based on the Bible"

That explains why slavery was legal

"This latest assault on Christianity is made to look like the Christians are trying to destroy this nation"

Many of them are

"The Christians built this nation brick by brick"

Actually it was Christians who forced other people to build everything.

"They are the cause in the decline of Christianity, freedom, prosperity, morality and every other positive and good thing that our founding fathers risked their lives to give us"

No they aren't

"The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution both trace right back to the Bible"

The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion for all American citizens. The Bible prohibits freedom of religion.

"Christianity is not a tyrannical religion"

It has often been very tyrannical

"It is based 100% on freedom of choice"

"Worship me or I'll burn you alive" doesn't sound like much of a choice.

"However, after our founding there were about 4 states (I think) that had a state religion"

And that was unconstitutional

"The states could do whatever they wanted"

No they couldn't

"You are correct that God's kingdom will be the sinless Christian nation"

It's pretty easy to make a country a Christian nation when you kill off everyone who's not a Christian

"but until then the United States of America, at our founding (excluding slavery) was the closest we have ever had to a true Christian nation"

Actually, slavery is permitted in Christianity. Don't forget that. And don't lie about it either.

"It is declining on purpose. Marxism is an atheistic political system that cannot abide anyone believing an anything higher in authority than the state"

That's not why Christianity is declining in America

"Nearly every movie or TV show that has been produced in the last 30+ years has taken a hostile tone to religion, specifically Christianity and Judaism"

Not even remotely true. There are entire channels dedicated to Christianity.

The KKK is a Christian group. Christian nationalism does exist. The US was not built on Christianity.

That's a joke right? You think the KKK were... Christians???? Now that's a little far-fetched and pretty desperate. They killed people because of the color of other people's skin, something the Bible clearly says not to do.

"You think the KKK were... Christians????"

Do some research. They were and always have been a Christian organization. You can't join unless you're a Protestant Christian.

"They killed people because of the color of other people's skin, something the Bible clearly says not to do."

Which verse says that?

And it's Marxists that have infiltrated churches and messed things up. Last Sunday during church, I heard there are. . .churches. . .that don't accept Jesus died and resurrected.

Are they claiming to be Christian churches??? That is crazy. What is the point of calling yourself a Christian if you don't believe in the atonement and resurrection?

Well I guess this really isn't new. Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine were deists. Jefferson thought that all of the miracles in the Bible were added by men who wanted to distort the message of Jesus. So I would imagine that those miracles included the atonement and resurrection but I don't know that for a fact.

Paine was even wackier than that. He called Christianity a "fable". He didn't believe that God ever communicated with man. He believed in a distant god whom he called "Nature's God"

I know about Liberation Theology and Black Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is what Che Guevara and others like him followed. It was infiltrated into the Catholic church in Latin America. Many think the current Pope (being from Argentina) is a product of Liberation Theology.

Black Liberation Theology is just Liberation Theology that has infiltrated "black" churches. These are protestant churches. The difference between Black Liberation Theology and Liberation Theology is the same difference between Critical Theory and Critical Race Theory.

It is all just a cover for Marxism. Karl Marx is their lord and savior, not Jesus Christ. They may refer to him as Jesus but it is Marx, not Jesus.

Goes all the way back to the Epistles. The Apostles had issues with false teachers and had to tell others the difference between real believers and fake believers including the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There was(and still is) this group called Gnostic that tried to teach a different gospel.

I didn't know there were any Gnostic left. I thought that religion died out centuries ago. But I know what you mean. A lot of Paul's letters were to explain the truth to people who were letting those Gnostic beliefs creep into Christianity.
