I am one of those Cubans. Funny how they try to argue what they learn from questionable sources against my life experience. As if my life experience has no relevance, yet when I ask them to go and move to one of those countries they do not have the guts to do it.

They seem to point at the Scandinavian countries as examples of what they think America should look like. I had a Facebook friend who was from Denmark. He left because it just got too insane there. Cars costs roughly the same in Denmark as they do in the US but because of taxes you will end up paying 3 times as much for a car in Denmark.

The president (or probably former president by now) of Sweden said they tried socialism and it just about destroy their economy so they pulled back on that and became more of a market based economy. They are still more socialistic than we are. It seems like once you get people thinking that businesses must be regulated to dead they can't ever wake up from that. So Sweden is almost socialist.

Besides, the Scandinavian countries are NOT what they are trying to push on us. What they want is more like where you came from and south of Cuba in Venezuela.

That's cool. My ancestors came to the United States before there was a United States. It was the British colonies back then. They mostly came from Scotland. One of my Scottish ancestors, because he fought in a battle against England, was tried for treason and sent to America as a slave, not an indentured servant. Then 1776 happened and after America won its independence from England he was no longer a slave.

My wife is 1st generation American on her mother's side. Her dad's ancestry is similar to mine but her mother legally immigrated from Mexico.

This is pretty much what everyone who escapes a communist nation says when they come to America. Even way back in the mid 20th century people were saying that.

Why the left can't see it is beyond me. It has been screaming right in their faces for a century. Ever since the beginning of the Progressive era when communism, socialism, fascism and Nazism were all openly praised by the left. Now they try to distance themselves from Nazism and fascism. No clue why they never try to distance themselves from socialism and communism.

Because some times, some lessons have to be learned in pain. Pain is necessary so that it can then create a traumatic life experience that will override the brainwashing. Just prepare for it, that is my advice.

I had just hoped that people would wake up before getting to the point of pain. Sometimes when it is at the point of pain it is too late. What what is going on right now it is pretty much too late anyway. If we can get the Democrats out of power in 2024 then we might have a chance. I am not a big time Trump fan. He is far better than any Democrat but as a conservative he didn't always make the right choices. I know he is planning on running again. I would like to see someone like Ted Cruz become our next president. Cruz is so much better than 90% of the Republicans.

Definitely Cruz would make a great candidate. We could use more like him.
