If society does not protect us when we are most vulnerable, it will not protect us in any other situation. Because it is promoting the disposability of human life.

........soooooooo, ARE we going to protect the most vulnerable human lives after we're already born? Because y'all keep voting against that.

How so? I fund through my taxes 1,00 programs that pay for schools, medical, food, clothing and housing for children. The left ALWAYS shout from the same bullhorn and the same arguments they hear and share from CNN and The View with little truth in the statements. There are children from poor families in America to be sure. Their parents are 99% of the reason for their plight due to many poor life decisions in most cases (not all of course). That said, we as taxpayers fund so many programs to be sure nobody is hungry (if these same parents allocate the resources given to them by taxpayers that anyone left unclothed, fed, etc are due to parental neglect and not due to a lack of will or funding from taxpayers. Do you truly believe that 50% of the nation is gleefully hoping kids are left uneducated, hungry, sick, wearing tattered clothes and living on the streets? If so, please turn of liberal TV or at least use common sense and facts when determining if the info being fed to you is possibly a lie or only half of the truth.

....so, more child services for kids with bad parents? I'm down for that. But the child hunger rate is 17% - one in six American children - so clearly you're out of touch with how bad that problem is.

Is THAT why you keep voting against solutions? Because you think it isn't happening?

You missed the part where EVERY child in this nation has access to free everything from the government and countless churches and charities also offer free food and clothing. Any child who is hungry is being cared for by an adult making poor decisions and they should be removed until the parent gets their crap together. Period.

17% of children in the US are still hungry though. Your "blame the parents" strategy didn't solve the problem.

I solved the problem in my comments. Don't kill babies and take kids away from parents doing such a lousy job that their child should ever go to bed hungry in a country that has spent TRILLIONS to end hunger and there are countless food shelves (I volunteer at one) and churches all over the country in nearly every county that offer assistance above and beyond what taxpayers fund. The re is NO good reason any child in America should go to bed hungry. There's your answer. Make parents accountable for their poor decisions that harm children and the suffering ends and babies aren't killed, because that's what you are inferring here. If Republicans don't want to fund the children outside of the womb, it's better to just kill them in the womb. That is really messed up thinking and you aren't the first liberal to ever forward that ridiculous argument.

But we DON'T spend trillions against hunger, though. That's the point.

We have spent many trillions on "the war on poverty" since LBJ and the Democrats started "The Great Society) in the 1960s. If you aren't familiar with it, do a little research. We have indeed "invested" trillions and in the process enslaved many poorer folks to a life of dependency on government for everything and the American dream is dead to most of these folks as initiative and hard work are frowned on as you lose your government freebie if you work to much. It also breaks up families along the way as a single mother can't collect welfare AND have the father of the child(ren) living under the same roof. We have indeed spent trillions destroying families for generations where all they know and have learned is government dependency and they often pass it onto their children. Rinse and repeat.

You keep changing the focus of your angst while ignoring my well articulated points and I have addressed your issues at every turn as you change direction. Killing a child should NEVER be the answer to any problem. NEVER.

Coming from a guy who says the answer to the problem should be ignore that we have one because we've totally already done everything we need to to solve it? Well gee whiz, I guess I never thought about it that way.

Yikes, what a tool. I have articulated facts in a way that any person with common sense who isn't partisan and has their heels dug in could follow and agree is the truth. You may or may not like the truth, but it is 100%. You have nothing to stand on and nothing to back your BS. Next...you are dismissed.

No, only 30% does. But they'll still cash that check when it arrives in the mail,,,

Yeah, poor parent are poor because 99% chose to be born poor.

Next time you're with your doctor, make sure that EVERYONE agrees with your medical care before choosing it.

If "medical care" included ending a life, I would happily seek advice from all sides involved. Sadly, the baby didn't decide to be created, nor killed. Doctors even operate inside of the womb on these "cells" sometimes to help them come to term and be born healthy. Do human, or any creature give birth to cells? The sad part is I would go to jail for smashing bald eagle eggs, but it's legal in some states to murder the unborn human child right up to the point of birth. :(

Everything you say has merit, but I don't see the word "woman" in your response. Gestating a child is an incredibly personal and intimate act, and rather terrifying even in a planned and healthy pregnancy. It can be joyous, but done against your will it would be a terrible violation.

Whether or not we approve of others' choices, we need to start from a point of considering their viewpoint and how the choice affects them.

So killing a baby is a better option? An unwanted pregnancy would be horrible I am sure, but isn't killing even worse? Imagine that there was a day when nobody ever even considered intentionally harming the unborn and someone uttered "we should just kill the baby in the womb". People would have gasped and that person would have been called a barbarian by society. Now we have made killing babies such a norm in society that people defend it at all costs and have assaulted and killed people outside of the womb trying to forward their right to kill the unborn. God weeps for what we are doing to His children. Everyone, regardless of whether they are religious or not should see the barbarism and killing of the most innocent of souls and have empathy and stop the killing. iilling is wrong. Period. No excuse will ever justify the killing of innocents.

....are you trying to say that abortion is something society made up in the 70's? Because it really actually wasn't at all. It goes back thousands of years. Benjamin Franklin literally wrote a guide on how to do it in a medical handbook.

I never uttered or inferred that. Now you are throwing out a straw man. Typical leftist crap. You are really bad at trolling.

And? Nothing in that statement says anything about the 1970s. Actually, not timeframe of when the first person uttered killing a child in the womb is mentioned at all. I am aware that Ben Franklin mentioned ending a permanency medicinally if a woman was in danger. Your comment infers that Franklin was pro abortion and there is no evidence of it that I am able to find. I guarantee you moral standards were much higher in the 1700s before modern liberalism eroded religion, the nuclear family and marched out depravity as a norm, and abortion on demand would have been thought of as ghastly and barbaric. Today, some on the left want abortion on demand up to AND AFTER birth. Insanity and sickening. Nice try though.

Yeah, so tragic how the libs killed the Moral Majority back in the late 80s and Lord Reagan's own kids chided him on the nuclear family thing. The Bible Belt has been destroyed by lefty barbarian hordes. Southies can't even procreate with their unwilling underage cousins without breaking the law now,,,

You're making a culturally-determined judgement that at all stages of its development, what is in the womb is "the baby", a fully-alive human. That's one take, but not one supported by most cultures throughout history, or uniformly by the relevant science.

Is refusing to donate your organ to someone who will die if they don't get it the same as killing them? I see it as a continuum, with abortion falling somewhere in the middle.
