I just stayed at a hotel after a canceled flight and terrible day, they gave me a warm chocolate chip cookie as my welcome gift...it was maybe one of the best cookies I've ever had. Good times, in face of bad ones. Unfortunately it wasn't August 4th, but every day could be chocolate chip cookie day, lol.

Sure was, specifically the one right at Newark airport in NJ. Not sure if the cookie was better, or the beers and couple of gin and tonics I had after at the bar, lol. I was definitely in DGAS mode, so the creature comforts were way up at the top of my list!

It’s hard to believe people once looked forward to air travel. Even first class is everything but.
I think the DoubleTree is famous for their cookies—exactly for that reason. Creature comforts.
