Uglier more painful scar leaving boils. It would be easier and more likely to keep from becoming endemic if action is taken early.

True. And how are other poxes handled? Actual isolation and quarantine for a few weeks then it's gone. However there are people that are trying to say monkey pox is just as bad as smallpox.

Yes, monkeypox is not smallpox. But stopping spread of any disease is important. It is still early enough to keep it from becoming endemic. Now there is resurgence of polio in New York City and London.

Because people are given bad and wrong advice.

The same people who were all for forcing everyone into lockdown, not letting people see their friends and family or live their lives at all don't even want to point out that monkeypox is spreading among gay men who have sex with strangers or even suggest to people to not have sex with strangers. They lashed out at anyone who even questioned covid restrictions and vaccines and called them horrible things such as "selfish", "anti-science", "far-right conspiracy theorists", etc. but they are inclined to protect gay men from criticism when it comes to monkeypox because LGBT people are so oppressed.

Not skip having sex. Just limit sex to one and only the same partner partner for a couple of months.
