You know as we have been chatting I am reminded of something that happened about 2 years ago. A family near our church lost their home in a fire, they weren’t members of our church but our pastor had asked us to please donate whatever we could to help the family. So the next day everyone was coming to the garage outside the church to drop off whatever they could. The church even helped find them temporary housing until their home was rebuilt. I along with a few other men went with the pastor in a few trucks to drop off the donations where the folks were then staying. And they were a gay couple. 2 women with two adopted children. We prayed with them, had a bbq, and made new friends. Our pastor invited them to join our church but they declined as they are Methodist. The point being is that our pastor didn’t try to shame them or change them. He offered them only kindness and charity. Because that is the underlying message of the Bible.

It’s not our job to convince our fellow human beings how to feel, dress, act or talk. Our job is to look out for each other. The Lord will handle the rest. If he’s unhappy with how folks live their lives then He will deal with it. God doesn’t make mistakes and being gay isn’t a choice.

Knowing that our Lord will handle everything. The Book also says protect the children, gay couples adopt lots of kids that otherwise wouldn’t have a loving , supporting family. So, have faith that God will handle things and stop hating on others that are different from you.
