Remember how tenuous the right-wing’s grip on power really is. They only got the chance to overturn Roe v. Wade because: 1. Bitch McConnell blockaded an Obama nominee for a solid year; 2. Anthony Kennedy is a naive moron who stepped down while Trump was President; 3. RBG died just a few months too early.
There is a solid liberal majority in this country, and certainly in blue states. Yeah our electoral system is biased toward Republicans, but the long-term odds are still stacked against them. That’s why the GOP is moving so fast and breaking things now. They know they’re screwed in the long term. They have no future. “Pro-life” states will handicap themselves as people choose not to relocate there, and many already there choose to move out. I’m very curious to see how this affects almost-purple states like Florida and Texas. If Republicans lose their grip on either one of these states, they’re finished.
In the short term it’s bullshit, but keep your eyes on the long game.
