Actually they are still communists. Putin has billions and billions of dollars (he's the real richest man in the world), and the proletariat are still starving. Cross the politboro and find yourself disappeared (or poisoned by various nerve agents). They (by their own admission) have simply been playing dead to sucker the world into one world (communist) government. Russia actively supports puppet communist states around the world. They figured out they couldn't beat freedom with head on conflict, but they knew they could destroy America by abuse of it's freedom.
Every communist dictatorship is run by thugs, with stolen authority. That's what it always has been.
