Cities — those notorious Democrat hellholes — are more economically productive and always have been.

Trump-voting counties actually went backwards economically under 4 years of Trump. Negating one of the main theories for his campaign pitch.

Etc etc.

If you want to advance economically, then move to the city and get an education, or find your niche as one of those rural business tycoons (you can make a killing as a farmer if you have a ton of land), or… I dunno? Win the lottery?

Voting for a populist demagogue snake-oil salesman is not gonna make you rich. Sorry.

Public transportion, shorter distances to wherever people need to get to go, roadways used by more traffic, transportion of food and goods to a centralized area...
A crowded block sharing electric, phone, fiber optic lines, gas, water and sewage pipes, the materials for making sidewalks and streets, garbage pickup, street cleaning, plowing during winter, mail.... and more add up to more efficient use and thus less waste than the same in places where the nearest neighbor is a mile away.

This was in his 2nd year, but I heard that poor Whites weren't faring as well as poor minority folks in terms of jobs during Trump, that they were less able to adapt to newer jobs.
Of course add in other factors, such as economic growth in places like Appalachia not happening anytime ever might have something to do with that as well. Still, the numbers...
