I'm still trying to figure out how this charge wasn't shutdown after it even became obvious to the Mayor that it was self-defense.

Alvin Bragg is an extremely left wing, George Soros bought and paid for , DA. He is doing exactly what his pay master pays him to do.

The Bodega worker did nothing wrong. All he did was take out the trash, and that's not a crime.

Reminds me of the case in Cali where 2 border patrols got 10 years each for shooting in the butt an illegal drug dealer crossing the border who was refusing to be detained.

Yeah it's Cali Gov doing Cali Gov things. Bad people (Drug Smuggler) should have bad things happen to them.

Technical they should be charged, then the jury finds them not guilty for self defense. Same for any cop in the same situation

The problem is i believe police always have legal. It shouldn't cost them really anything for court. But for this guy who did nothing wrong, legal fees and the like are going to put him beneath the poor house.

I have CCW insurance, so if I get charged for defending myself, I'm covered. But this poor guy. This should never have happened in the first place.

It doesn't cost police anything. The taxpayers pay for their lawyers.

Yes, that's what I meant with regards to the police situation.

Yeah, but he gets a free public defender that will totally represent him.

I always thought public defenders were free, but lately I've heard that some are not. One thing seems to be agreed upon though is that you never want to place your life in the hands of one of those.

I had a public defender as a teenager when I did something stupid. He didn't even show up for my trial so the judge had to walk us through what was going on.
