Can We Go Back To Basics?

in 2009 after Obama became President, he gave a speech where he recited the intro to the declaration of independence. He recited verbatim the introduction except for a very important phrase that we have unalienable rights "endowed by their Creator".

This was not a mistake. He adeptly recited the intro with no trouble, no teleprompter, but he purposely excluded the foundational phrase that defines where we get our rights, from God. Because if our rights are given to us by man, by the government, then they can be taken away, but if they're giving by God, they can't be taken away.

You are so correct. Politicians will disregard the pertinent points of the document, in order to make it seem like they have the power and control. When actually the country was founded trying to get away from that kind rule or ruler.
