Over the past few years I've seen a disturbing increase in the amount of Christian nationalist rhetoric from people who want to turn this country into an outright theocracy, and I don't use that word lightly. And the scary thing is it's going to really ramp up now that they feel empowered by these recent court decisions.
They want to make same-sex marriage illegal. They want to make consensual same-sex activity between adults illegal. They even want to make access to birth control illegal. They want the government to endorse Christianity and have teachers leading students in prayer and Bible reading and trying to convert them to Christianity. They stand in direct opposition to actual freedom of religion and personal liberty, and that's because their religion has no room for freedom or liberty for others.
