As a veteran who served my fellow vets for 30-years at the VA, citing facts arguing against a phony proposal is hardly prejudice. I was there when PTSD was first described. I met personally with the doctors treating angry and violent Veterans, to discuss the diagnosis. I have sat in an ER waiting room with Veterans in the middle of the night, waiting for the Neuropsychiatric Officer of the Day to see them. I have taken their weapons and locked them in my safe, so that they would relax and not worry about using them on family members. Protecting a Vet from having his PTSD triggered, is recognizing their reality, not discriminating against them.
