I don’t know how you haven’t yet figured out that Putin is the modern-day equivalent of Hitler, and that the Azov Battalion is more like the Ukrainian version of far-right militiamen and Proud Boys. Deplorable, yes, but not taking over the world any time soon. A. There aren’t even close to enough of them. B. They don’t have nukes. C. They’ve always been conceived of as a self-defense force, and didn’t even exist until *after* Russia invaded Ukraine (the first time) in 2014.

If Russia invaded America, I’d put aside my own personal differences with the Proud Boys, as has most of Ukraine with respect to Azov. Being targeted by a nuclear superpower tends to focus the mind and collapse peacetime political differences in that way.

Priorities, folks, priorities

"I wish I lived in your deluded reality."

Why, when your deluded reality is so much more lush?

No, it's not "how dare you", it's you deserve to be rewarded based on you skill level, education and/or experience. You do not deserve to be paid for nothing.

Socialism, communism, fascism and Nazism all promise the something for nothing mentally but all they ever or will ever deliver is extreme poverty, misery and death. It is inescapable. There's no way around that. It happens every single time it has ever been tried.

There is no free ride. There is no something for nothing. That true in Capitalism and in Socialism (and all of its descendants). The difference is that Capitalism rewards your training and your hard work. Socialism rewards nothing. In socialism, you work to please the oligarchs who control you.

So someone working hard building widgets for 60 hours should get paid the same as a CEO working hard for 60 hours, right?

Hitler didn't quite agree with your bogus assestment.

Q: What does Capitalism have in common with Socialism and Communism which was promoted by Fascism and adopted by Nazism?
A: Corporatism.

There is no Capitalism in America, not in a long long time.
The US gov't backs and bails out (select) corporations. We call it "Corporate Welfare." Mussolini called it "Corporatism"

You, for once, have a good point. The US has fallen prey to crony capitalism. The US is a great experiment. It has become, by far, the most successful and powerful country in the history of the world, thanks to Capitalism. Unfortunately, capitalism will only thrive in the hands of honest politicians and business leaders alike.

John Adams: “Without the great political virtues of humility, patience, and moderation … every man in power becomes a ravenous beast of prey.”

If we wish for our country to succeed, we must move back towards virtue, clear values, morals, family, and a strong work ethic. We must move away from hedonism, sloth, and confusion.

We both can agree that the US isn’t a purely capitalistic society anymore. Are you insinuating that we should give up on the great experiment?

Who are you and what are you going on about that has no relation to my post, including some imaginary "insinuating" that you inserted because, um, why?

Reading comprehension clearly isn’t your strong suit… You made an interesting point, I expanded upon it, and I was hoping to hear your viewpoint.

You instead act like a pedantic child. Beautiful display of why our poor country keeps getting more divided. Keep up the good work buttercup.

See, that’s where you lose so many people. We don’t deserve shit. It’s what one can create/build/negotiate/add to society that determines what they get, and therefore what they deserve.

You’ve been so mentally conditioned into being exploited by the ruling class that you cannot imagine any other way of living a fulfilling life.

I probably shouldn’t respond to your non-sequitur comment, but you should read Atlas Shrugged. There are makers and there are takers. I am a maker, you are a taker. If the makers stop making, then the takers will have nothing left to take.

I've read parts of it, and the whole conceit sounds entirely non-sensical.

If these ""makers"" went on strike tomorrow, do you know what would happen to their businesses? Do you think the global economy would collapse without the guiding light of this special class of individuals? No, the workers would take over as a collective and run it themselves.

As was the case with this factory in Argentina.
