This lawyer argues that it does. (He is quoting from a trial that took place in 2005).

""
The jurors were asked their views of interracial marriage and people of different races having children. According to the petition to the Supreme Court, three jurors expressed to one or both. One said that “I don’t believe God intended for this.” Another said, “We should stay with our Blood Line.” A third said that interracial marriage was “harmful for the children involved because they do not have a specific race to belong to.”

3 out of 330,000,000.
It really isn’t an issue, guy.
And the last juror is an idiot,,, we all belong to the human race. That’s specific enough for me and should be specific enough for you;)

3 out of a juror pool of maybe 20 or 30 -- not insignificant, although it's just a single sample.

It isn’t a sample. It’s an anomaly.

And who was it who opposed interracial marriage? Democrats. In fact the whole reason why we have to have a blood test before we can get a marriage license is to check to see if either the man or the woman had any black in them.

They still do blood tests for "health" reasons but it is a total waste of time because their not going to stop couple from getting a marriage license if one or both have an illness. But in my opinion, the government should stop performing weddings altogether. Let the churches perform weddings and keep the government completely out of it. It's none of the governments business who I love.

"And who was it who opposed interracial marriage?"

Conservatives. Polls taken in some conservative states still show a pretty high percentage of residents who don't want interracial marriage to be legal.

"In fact the whole reason why we have to have a blood test before we can get a marriage license is to check to see if either the man or the woman had any black in them."

We have to? As in, today, right now? In which states?

"But in my opinion, the government should stop performing weddings altogether"

The government doesn't perform weddings. When's the last time you heard about somebody having their wedding reception at the DMV?

"It's none of the governments business who I love"

Tell that to all the conservatives who want same-sex marriage to be illegal

As long as marriage has an effect on taxation or inheritance, and as long as we as a society have an interest in preventing child marriage (because pedophilia is evil), the government has to have business with marriage, despite not performing most marriages.

He's confusing marriage with weddings

Tax laws can be changed. In fact our who progressive taxation scheme is a scam that was forced on us in 1913. This nation was started without a national income tax.

Eliminating government weddings has nothing to do with the age a person can get married. Aside from Islam what religion in America is going to condone underage marriage?

The states can pass laws determining the age in which people can get married. There probably are already laws like this in most states. Churches who would have a problem with that would just have to comply. This is not a violation of the 1st amendment because the law would not be an interference with the establishment or free exercise clauses. Religions would be free to marry people, they just couldn't marry them if one or both couples were under a certain age.

Government weddings aren't the issue. And as long as the government does have taxes that have variation by marital status, whatever your opinion of the policy, the government has to have a way to handle the issue of marriage.
