You know, it's common for common enemies to make compromises under a bigger and unifying threat.

That doesn't mean enemies with common enemies remain allies for long.

The correct course of action is to re-open American drilling and get American oil, not to go to other evil countries and ask for oil from them at inflated prices.

I'm for that. Just not at the expense of violating our treaties with the Native Americans nor drilling on federal lands designated SPECIFICALLY for environmental preservation.

The alternative to that would be to sell those federal lands back to the people and then LET THEM decide on whether or not to drill there or not.

You do realize that after we remove precious resources from federal lands, they have to return them to the state they were in before they started drilling right?

Irrelevant. The federal government shouldn't be making that call and thwarting the people's individual liberties at their expense. It's unconstitutional.

The feral governed shouldn't be invoked at all. It is illegal for them to own land anyway.
