The higher the price of oil is, the more motivation American oil companies have to pump it out of our soil or off our coastlines for us and for exporting. Hard to compete with the Saudis etc when they can pump oil on the cheap but hey... Do we want cheap oil or nah? You want products (and oil) made in USA, you should probably expect to pay more for it.

How is covid working out for me? Well let's see..as far as I know I've still never had it, I've got plenty of sanitizer and N95 masks, the shelves at stores are currently stocked with them as well (and toilet paper), ~ 75% of America has at least one jab, Biden's got millions of doses of monoclonal antibody treatments for America and has for months and months, I've got my own free covid tests at home if anyone in my family has symptoms... but those are also available at the store if needed... my family and friends of family are now all fully vaccinated and are not being hospitalized and dying from covid anymore like in 2020, and IF anyone unvaxxed or otherwise tests positive for covid- America now also has covid antiviral pills you can immediately get for free.

Yep. That's true. I didn't like Trump in 2016 and for most of his presidency so I stopped paying attention to him and politics in general during his term. Technically, your use of the words "foreign oil" does not necessarily mean "Russian oil". However, we do get oil from Russia because of Biden. Trump shut down ALL foreign oil coming into the US and that was reflected in the price at the pump. It went down.

The reason why so many people are telling you that Trump got us off of Russian oil is because HE DID. And we paid less for it.

Prices are going up in all industries, not just oil. But our gas prices are reflected in the price per barrel that we have to IMPORT. In addition, because of Biden, the Federal Reserve printed just under 100 TRILLION dollars. The more dollars printed the lower the value of each dollar. It is simple economics. Obama was doing this also but he didn't print as much in his 2 terms as Biden did in his 1st year. That is why everything is skyrocketing. When the Feds raise interest rates (which they have no choice but to do) that will collapse everything.
