Sakata Gintoki: The location of his parents are unknown all we know is he seems to have no memory of them, but as result he was forced to scavenge through the dead bodies of soldiers for money/items he could sell for money. But one day a man by the name of Yoshida Shouyou showed up and became Gintoki’s father figure, after all those years of being alone Gintoki finally had a father and soon after something of a real family. But all good things come to an end Shouyou is captured by the Tenshouin Naraku and shortly after Gintoki and his friends Katsura Kotaro and Takasugi Shinsuke leave to battle the Amanto(aliens) in the Joui War. After successfully killing thousands of Amanto as the feared “ShiroYaksha” the war comes to an end humanity has lost… not only that, but Gintoki is forced to execute Shouyou while Takasugi and Katsura watch. For the next few years Gintoki wanders Edo in his lonesome once more this, until he meets an elderly woman Otose at a cemetery and gains the opportunity to rent out the upper floor of Otose’s bar and creates “Odd Jobs Gin-chan”. Still suffering from PTSD after the events of the Joui war his life is somewhat uneventful probably around 3 years later he encounters Shimura Shinpachi who’s being harassed by some Amanto Gintoki defeats the Amanto and quickly bonds with Shinpachi. A few days later he encounters Kagura an Amanto warrior species called a “Yato”, but there’s one thing Kagura’s actually nice but she got caught up in gang activity, so after helping her out now Odd Jobs Gin-chan is fully in business. Various things happen including battling the previous king of the Yato Housen, but with a little help from some prostitute ninja the man once feared as the ShiroYaksha came out on top. Probably about a year later Edo is in danger politically the previous Shogun is assassinated and Gintoki gets to see Shouyou again, except this time it isn’t Shouyou it’s another incarnation of Shouyou, Utsuro or rather Shouyou was an incarnation of Utsuro. Utsuro and Gintoki fight, Gintoki comes out on tiptop after stabbing Utsuro and throwing him into a fire, but it turns out Utsuro is still alive but they escape safely later Utsuro makes his big move aka starting a giant war between earth and the universe and as a result Gintoki faces his former teacher once more this time with all of the people he met through Odd Jobs.
