They're also anti-Union, if that's news to you.

Then you're not pro-trucker. You just want the truckers to support you.

Except said "bs logic" was yours.

Try to keep things straight. It keeps matters closer to reality and negates the need to improvise what is absurdly untrue.

Here's the Senate Vote: https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1171/vote_117_1_00110.htm

Notice every single R is a nope.

Here's the House vote:
https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/202149

Again, all the Rs = Nope.

Man, it's like the Republicans are "supporting truckers" because it's politically convenient for them and otherwise kicked them to the curb.

Your link goes to the American Rescue Plan. What does that have to do with pensions for truckers?

A lot. But I answered you before. Just spend some time reading up on Multi-Employer pensions and how they Republicans have blocked attempts to fix it for the last 10 years.

it is not the governments responsibility to fix private sector issues like this.
0 ups, 2y
There is NO REASON that the government should be involved in funding pensions for private sector employees. Of COURSE Republicans oppose this, it's utterly insane.

You're trying to call The American Rescue plan a bill to give pensions
to truckers??????
4 ups, 2y,

Not trying to at all.

it was.

And why?

Because the Republican Party had blocked the 3 previous attempts to resolve the problem over the last 10 years.

This such a pitiful argument that I'll only give you a few of the reasons why this is just sad.

1) No one is supporting them BECAUSE they are truckers, they are supporting them because their cause is just and right. It could be barbers, restaurant workers or anyone else. People are supporting a just cause that just so happens to include a movement spearheaded by truckers.

2) The Republicans SHOULD be voting against bills involving the private pensions of truckers who are the employees of private companies. The government has no business being involved n this. I know you think government should completely run everyone's life but there is literally ZERO hypocrisy in Republicans not supporting government intervention in private business issues.

3) This whole line of argument is sooooooooooo dumb and no one falls for it anymore. "If you don't support my bill that includes 9 horrible things and one good thing, so you are against the one good thing." This doesn't fool anyone anymore. Not anyone. Even if it WAS good for the Republicans to support intervention into private pensions, that would still not be reason to support a bill that was filled with bad things just to get that one through. Your train of thought is insanely flawed. It's like saying, "My bill allows abortion up to 2 years after birth, raises tax rates to 90%, allows warrantless spying by the IRS and provides funds to help the homeless. So if you don't support this bill, you clearly don't care about the homeless." Nobody falls for that kind of mindless drivel anymore. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you that.

Oh, yeah?

What context do you need? Like the list of no votes?

It's the entire Republican party.

Maybe explain where the issue was hidden and that the pension bailout wasn’t the only reason they voted against it.
3 ups, 2y,

Why do you think it was hidden?

It wasn't hidden.

And, for some context for you, the Republican Party had blocked the 3 previous attempts to fix this problem over the last 10 years.

Your precious "support the Truckers" party has been working hard to screw them over for the last decade.

Not a government problem to solve and has no business being buried in the bill. You know it as well as I do.

Like I said, that support only goes as far as it benefits you. As soon as it's about them, it's over.
