How this is has affected the pricing where I live-
Past presidents - Ground beef cheaper than fish by half to two-thirds by the pound.
Current president - Ground beef now the same price as fish by the pound.
Inflation has been a fact of life for decades, if not centuries. You're acting like it was something Biden invented. Gotta pay a little more for ground beef? Rework your budget.
Supply brought low as a consequence of pandemic in 2020,
Demand brought high as a consequence of recovery in 2021, ironically partly because of the Biden Stimulus which worked a little too well.
If frog legs taste like chicken, but cost $23 a pound, it is probably best to get the chicken instead. Try a 75-25 mix for your ground beef, instead of 90-10. Buy in bulk and freeze. You will be alright.
Agreed, absolutely disgusting the way we've had to subsidize farming to the point that food has become so cheap we're 1/3 obese and average lifespans are starting to decrease because of it on account of the Dust Bowl whose centenary will be celebrated in the next decade.
It's literally more cost effective somehow for farmers to shelter and feed their cattle grain which irritates their stomachs which then have to be fed antibiotics to combat the resulting infections rather than simply letting them roam around outside and eat grass for FREE.
- Let that sink in.
Stop social welfare. Stop killing the free market. Stop making everyone fat. Stop giving cows ulcers. Stop the idiocy.
