“Born and raised” is a NJ term. No native New Yorker would ever say they were “born and raised” in NYC or any borough. It’s a dead give away. It’s the type of thing that would never slip by a real New Yorker. People would look at you like you had six heads if you said you were “born and raised” in Brooklyn. Trust me, if that was a thing, it would’ve appeared in at least one verse in a song by Biggie Smalls. Jay-z. Run DMC. 50 Cent. Wu Tang. Nas. Someone. But nope. Cuz it ain’t a NY thing."
People in NJ use our terms, since most of them were born here, or their parents were. Well, the more settled parts away from PA, anyways. Hence the Jersey Shore show.

Trust is irrelevant, especially when it comes to a faker who has to refer to Rap verses of all things instead of what comes out of his own mouth.
Or, as we Bronxitianers supposedly would put it according to your Spotify Eminem downloads,
"Trust ain't def, yo, OGs be chillin hood, not Vanilla Ice, daht siht be wack."
