The Left says, "ThE wOrLd iS oVeRpOpuLaTed!!!"

Actually, the Bible instructs husbands to love their wives and show them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life, if the husbands don't want their prayers ignored.

If the founding fathers really put that into law, Muslims wouldn't have been allowed in the country. Yet, they've been here for decades. The Bible never said leadership should be like what Charlemagne did. The Magna Carta was created because a council of Christian people felt that the Christian king was abusing his God-given rights by being oppressive to people with different opinions than him (interestingly enough, they would put up with a lot b4 they came to this conclusion). In other words, they felt like the Bible was against what the king was doing. The Bible would never support any dictatorship like communism or Nazism.

And none of that was encouraged in the New Testament. Did you also know that the Bible says that "Joseph, being a righteous man and not wanting to kill [Mary], planned to send her away secretly" when he found she was pregnant before their marriage? It actually called him "righteous" for not doing that.

I meant the man would simply steal girls from their families without any sort of agreement. Even with Isaac, they asked Rebekah if she'd go with his servant (who by the way is another example of someone who cared for his master because he wasn't being mistreated).

That decision was never looked upon as a good decision. Matter of fact, a whole rival family who would kill many of his promised son's descendants was born because of that event, so it didn't even go unpunished.
Also she probably did want to, because she started acting conceited around her mistress when she realized she was pregnant and her mistress was barren. It probably made her feel more important than her mistress. But like I said, that decision was never meant to be respected.

And many do allow it. I'm not going to pretend I know the Bible's stance on that, but if it does say that, there might be reasoning behind it. For example, this whole idea of "first woman to do something" or "gender diversity" ideas might be prioritized in church over teaching the actual Bible, and I don't think God would have any interest in that. That's a subject I've thought a lot about, since I (and many ppl ik) am by no means hostile toward women or their rights.

The New Testament was written by Roman pagans. Hence the immense disconnect from the Old. It doesn't count.

"Jesus was prophesied about as early as Genesis 3"
Is he Serpent God or the Cherubim? Good grief.

Saul/Paul, killer of Christians, tool of the Beast? Sure, toss out THE Word because of that murderer said to. Gotta give him credit though, "If you can't beat em, make em join you." He literally upped Peter "But even though I betrayed Jesus THREE times he put me in charge, yup!" one, and replaced that con with his paganism. Son of Jackal, Seated in Rome, who will steal the Word of the Chosen and call it their own, but ot before corrupting it beyond recognition. Yeah, wonder who that is.

"And there are historical accounts besides the Bible explaining why Pilate acted the way he did."

No there isn't. And nothing referring to Jesus.

I'mma stop here because you won't like were this is going, and if the only thing holding you back from OKing slavery and murder is that faith, then I'd rather not rock it, not that you would listen anyways.

The Old Testament isn't what Christians are told to follow now, is it? Treating women like trash was completely normal then, and even then God had rules about it. Matter of fact, one of the reasons the Flood happened was that God saw men were just taking whatever woman they pleased, without any consent.

Also, women are told not to be spiritual leaders to men (which some churches ignore btw). But women are allowed to exist in church.

I never said it did.

Except if you look at what the founding fathers believed, they were very Christian and put a lot of their religious beliefs into law. They had no interest in dictatorship. And if leftists ever read a history book, they'd know that many founding fathers were actually anti-slavery themselves, feeling it was hypocritical to want to escape dictatorship while being oppressive themselves.

Last I checked, I'm not rotting in a cell because of the last hostile thought I had about Him. If you were talking about Greek or Roman gods, I'd see your point. (They were basically Twitter before Twitter existed)

"No. "He shall bruise you on the head, and you will bruise him on the heel" in Genesis 3:15 is God indirectly prophesying about how He will send Jesus. He said it to Satan.

Jesus as a bruise, or is it heel?
No one said anything to Satan in Genesis because Satan was never mentioned in Genesis.

"Pilate's decision making was largely affected by the Roman emperor wanting to keep the Jews happy..."

Nonsense. A Roman governor trying to appease a people he's oppressing?
There is no such mention anywhere else of any such ludicrous practice by Pilate or anyone.

Everything except 3 verses were from the Old Testament. Also maybe look up what stuff in the Bible means before denoting the whole book as sexist.
2 ups, 2y
Like I said, you should actually learn about things before you start debunking them. Paul was Roman, but none of the other apostles were. They were all Jewish, and Jesus was Jewish.
Also whole books of the New Testament exist to show how the Old Testament is just a precursor to Jesus. Matter of fact, Jesus was prophesied about as early as Genesis 3. In the Old Testament, it says that the people wouldn't recognize Him, which they didn't, because they were too adherent to their man made traditions. None of the New Testament has anything to do with Rome (besides tax payment) until Pilate gets involved. And there are historical accounts besides the Bible explaining why Pilate acted the way he did. Then Paul begins preaching to other people. You can't discredit the New Testament. If you do, then you seriously have to discredit the entire Muslim faith even more, since it originally claimed to be the uncorrupted version.
1 up, 2y
No. "He shall bruise you on the head, and you will bruise him on the heel" in Genesis 3:15 is God indirectly prophesying about how He will send Jesus. He said it to Satan.

Apparently people can't change then. Once a crook, always a crook. The man literally suffered for the faith like all the others. He didn't get much worldly possessions from his conversion. All he got was that the people who supported him now hated him. But now the modern idea is to act like being an apostle was some special life. It wasn't, besides the supernatural things recorded. Many people would not be able to bear their lives.

Oh, so you've checked everything, I guess? Since you stated that so much like a matter of fact. One thing I would suggest is to never definitively act as if something doesn't exist in history. It's so vast you don't know what it contains.
There actually is a writer who mentioned Jesus around 60 AD, and he didn't worship Jesus. Pilate's decision making was largely affected by the Roman emperor wanting to keep the Jews happy because a really wicked man who had tried to betray him (named Sejanus, if you've never heard the name) was anti-Semitic. Because the Jews knew they could appeal to Tiberius the emperor if Pilate didn't give them what they wanted, it was extremely difficult for him to refuse them. It's far more complicated than what I just described, but I learned none of this from the Bible (since everything that comes from there can never be true to an atheist)

I've already expressed my views on those in these comments. I'm not doing it again.
0 ups, 2y
Wow. I didn't even read most of this chart last night, but this legit is possibly the dumbest interpretation of Bible verses that I've ever seen. So many verses are taken out of context. Some of the problems (ike female inferiority) aren't even specific, and the "Rape my daughter" was from the book of Judges, where everyone did what was right in their own eyes.
I could go on about this for hours but maybe you should actually read the Bible instead of pulling memes off the internet that are meant to make people hate it.

That's very true. Democrats seem very keen on opposing everything God says these days.

I personally believe slavery should be outlawed (more on that later). The Bible never said to have slaves, but that slaves should respect their masters. This leads me to believe that God's stance on slavery is similar to His stance on kings. If you notice, God never wanted Israel to have a king, but gave them one because they demanded it. He told them to submit to the king if they had one, even if he was hostile. God wants us to respect authority we're under, but that doesn't mean He agrees with the system.

The reason I think slavery should be outlawed is the same reason I don't think we should have kings (or communist dictators, because they're even worse). The Bible has rules and regulations for both kings and slaves, which are most often ignored by people. What slave owners did 160 years ago was not okay according to the Bible. This is why full-on Christians like Harriet Tubman fled. In my opinion, whenever there's too much power in one hand, an unbiblical abuse of power follows. This is why I'm anti-slavery, anti-monarchy, and anti-communist, and have full Biblical justification to have these stances.

"So basically you're saying that instead of prohibiting slavery because he's the one who actually makes all the rules, God chose to let people own slaves because...they demanded it? Does he have to give in to their demands?"

I never said people demanded slaves. Authority came with the fall. Men running families came with the fall. And no, God doesn't have to give into people's demands, but He has granted people their dumb requests before.

My point is that God never banned kings even though He clearly was against the idea (just look at Manasseh to understand why), and the same would hold true for slavery. Matter of fact, Egyptian monarchs were abusing Israelites (to a degree I won't go into detail about to keep the site sfw) and God delivered them from it. American slavery was also abusive in a way I won't go into detail about.

This makes the whole Biblical slavery question irrelevant, but anyway I will mention that one time in the Old Testament someone got leprosy and their slave girl didn't want the master to die bc they treated her like family, and so she told them of a prophet, who eventually healed the master. Such treatment to slaves was extremely rare in America (I do know of instances where similar things happened, however because I read about history a lot).

God created us, so whether you or I agree with Him is really beside the point. However, He gave us rules and allows us to live comfortably on this earth, whether we hate His guts all day and night. Hate a slave master, king, or communist, and you're going to get hunted and tormented.

No, people who are pro-slavery are misunderstanding the Bible. It doesn't matter what people say; the Bible says what it says and means what it means. I've seen people try to use the Bible to promote hatred when the Bible says to love your enemies. Does that mean the Bible says what they're saying, or are they misusing the Bible?

A system where the government gets all the money and makes all the rules is man playing God.

Yes, they are. Leftism (not liberalism) isn't that far from communism anymore, and Marx himself said socialism was basically his idea. The only difference between socialists and communists is that some socialists won't condone the 200M+ lives claimed from killing spree after killing spree and the forced abortions under Stalin, but there are some who will. If you don't believe that, I recently have argued with people who have actually justified Stalin's killing the amount of people he killed. The man outdid Hitler in his death count without including forced abortions.

A system where the government gets all the money and makes all the rules is man playing God is called a Monarchy, who literally tradionally claimed to be appointed by God or claimed to be descended from a demi-God class, or even claimed to be Gods.

Socialism is when the workers control the means of production. That's a heckuva lotta Gods godding by commitee.

#1 in death tally for the sake of nation is by far England, with three centuries and countless millions (some in India claim clocking past a billion) under their God Monarchy belts.

Socialism is when the government distributes the money however they please, while lying to the people that they decide how productions run.

Also, monarchies existed far before any Christians did, so maybe look longer than a span of 1300 years in history before arguing about God and kings.

England was a conquering nation with kings. They did that before capitalism existed. And Christians have had far more persecution against them than for them (which, by the way, wasn't supported by the Bible or even all those Christians then).
But China's first dictator killed 65 million of his own country.
