Yes, there are people on both sides who form their viewpoints based on feelings. If I wasn't clear, what I was getting at is that liberals do that more so, imo. Just look at the fundamentals of each philosophy. Libs want the govt to take our money and give it to those in need (even when we, as in the govt are broke, so we go further into debt) whereas conservatives believe in giving to charities themselves. And before anyone like Modda who doesn't operate on facts chimes in (again), Americans are one of the most, if not the most, charitable people on earth.
And as Penn Jilette said: "It's amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people yourself is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral, self-righteous, bullying laziness."
Regarding you being upset, come on now. You seemingly get upset over a lot of posts that are critical of liberals, and certainly when someone says you're wrong about something. Yes, that's human nature to not enjoy being told you're wrong, especially in subjective matters.
Re your last comment, if you don't believe that being liberal can lead to being depressed, I guess you're not going to even consider the possibility that being libertarian, or anything other than liberal, could get rid of that depression.
