Here's a question... and, I don't have the answer or I'd post it here. Has anyone calculated the number of years of life that have been lost instead of total deaths? If you are 93 and die of covid, how many years did you lose? Even for 93 year old unvaccinated, the death rate is still under 10%, so covid is killing the sick 93 year olds. How many years does a sick 93 year old have left? Maybe if we can frame this in terms of years lost, or even years lost on average across the population, it will paint a brighter picture. If we knew covid was costing sick 93 years olds 2 years of life, but averaged across the population, it was costing us 20 days of life (or what ever the number is, I don't have it) it would be less scary. Compare this to something that kills a high percentage of babies.... that would cost each baby 70-80 years of life. Much different math.
