Mutations are RANDOM. It's not a sure process. It could become WAY deadlier, but less transmissible. It's a roll of the dice.
Meanwhile, vaccines don't guarantee complete immunity. I got a tetanus vaccine when i was 12, and if i cut myself on rust, I can still get tetanus. It's your immunity, and how fast it works is also a roll of the dice. There are 2 kurzgesagt video on it. Before watching it, even I thought the vaccine was not as great as advertised, but afterwards, tying that with what i know about vaccines, it makes sense that it's not a complete shield.

True vaccines do provide protection, nearly immunity...that's why school paperwork for vaccines are called "immunization" forms. The covid jab is not a vaccine, nor is tetanus shot. That's why tetanus and flu shots are called "shots", not vaccines. The actual definition of vaccine has been changed, for political use, and as such has watered down the impact of getting and vaccine. If you go and get a vaccine for measles, mumps, rubella, smallpox, polio, etc. You are basically guaranteed not to get those diseases. SARS viruses like flu or covid are almost impossible to fully immunize against due to how quickly they mutate.

And before you label me an anti vaxxer per above comment to the other user, no, I'm not anti vax. I just have a habit of thinking for myself, you should too.

let me just say the reason we dont get this shot is because its rather new and we dont quite trust it yet so once it is well known people will start trusting it more just give it time dont push people to get it

Anyway it wasn't rude, I was a bit impulsive too. And a lot of people on the internet apparently can't have a civil discussion. Though, if anytime you want a debate, tell me, I'm pretty sure I have an opinion you (and many others) might not like very much.

I'll respect your opinion so long as you respect mine as well...that's the problem, as you note, in that it's very difficult to find others who can converse as such. So far as debate goes, what are your thoughts on the vaccine? As mentioned before, i don't claim to be anti vax. I however do not believe the vaccine to be legitimate, or at least what it is claimed to be. As such, i wont be taking it, but i do beleive any who feel it will make their life better or offer the protection it's claimed to provide should by all means get it. I do not believe in masks as prescribed by the government and CDC, they simply do not protect anyone. Proper mask wearing would, but that is not what has been recommended.

Hmm...masks do protect people, but not protect the people wearing the mask. It's actually supposed to protect people FROM the person wearing the mask. I'm sure you sneezed at least once in a mask, and you smelt the disgusting stench of your own saliva (no offense) that's because most of the major and minor droplets are trapped within by the mask, and many of the micro droplets are at least slowed down. Of course, without proper ventilation, those micro-droplets are enough to infect people so...

That's what most people think, but that's where my comment about proper mask wearing comes in. Really, only a properly fitted N95 mask will offer any real protection, but that's not what the government, airlines, CDC, or anyone with any authority is recommending or teaching people to do. Further, an N95 isn't even recommended for prolonged use. I believe they are only recommended for 30 minutes at a time given how much they restrict airflow. On an airline, that would literally never work since flights last much longer.

Most people just wear a cloth mask or more commonly a disposable blue surgical mask. These do offer mild protection, but look up the vape mask experiment on YouTube, it's very enlightening if you're a visual learner like I am.

Heh...I honestly got used to wearing N95 masks for hours on end, to the point where wearing a normal mask is like normal breathing for me. I also wore it during my flight btw.

Then you are more disciplined and properly doing what most people do not, so good on you! If you do wear an N95 for long periods of time, make sure you give it a rest on occasion, they really do restrict airflow (obviously so they can filter) and you can build up excess C02 and other stuff in your system, plus get oxygen deprived. It really is the best mask, or one of them anyway, but you have to make sure you use it properly. Cheers friend!

Baselines: I'm not antivaxx, I believe in (and understand) science, I use common sense and think for myself, and I have real problems with how the world has gone about this pandemic including mask mandates and vaccine mandates. That should give you enough info to volley back, I submit the stand to you.
