No, it just makes empty spike proteins that are the bad part of the virus. So its like getting all the side effects of the virus without actually being infected.

You idiot. Without a virus the spike proteins can't harm you, but your body recognises them and fights them. THAT'S the side effects, your body fighting the illness, and they only last for a day or so, not 14 days or so like COVID!

Exactly. Think about what you are saying. They've already stated that the spike is the worst part of the virus and without it, the virus wound just be a cold. Yet they are taking over your cells and producing the spike with the covid shots.

The lockdowns absolutely have not worked, and in fact have done way more harm than good. Economy? Decimated, and now suffering from a huge jump in inflation. Incidents of alcoholism, spousal abuse, depression, etc., etc., are way up under the lockdowns. Yet here we are, 11 months into the Brandon administration, with a president who said if a person couldn't get this virus under control, they don't deserve to be president. Years from now, when the toll from the lockdowns is fully tallied, we'll all finally see what a mistake they were.

Difference? Their economy is probably about the size of Alabama's economy. Yep, just a WAG, but compared to ours, it's miniscule. I get it, it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking what can go for a tiny country could also go for the US, but it's just not the case.

The difference mainly is the culture. You want big countries that did better? The UK, Canada, France, Italy, Australia, basically all of Europe.

They are doing better than the US. You have to understand something that was COMMON PRACTICE since the beginning of mankind. It works, and has always worked.
It's as easy as 1,2,3:
1. You have a disease that spreads person to person. E.G: COVID
2. You cut the people it spreads to, thereby reducing spread.
3. You flatten the curve and eventually reduce spread to near zero, and open up.

Basically, if humans aren't meeting each other, they can't spread the disease.

And besides, I thought the variants didn't exist to you guys.

That has not worked. When this first started, practically everyone listened to "guidelines". Nothing happened. So we decided that the risk of COVID was mild and decided to keep living our lives. You apparently can't understand that.

We can't understand why you don't care about human lives. it has 4x the death rate of the flu AND spreads more. (with Omicron it spreads 6x more than first strain and has the death rate of the flu IF your vaccinated.) I know people who have died of COVID. It's no joke.

They're different strains. But all strains have a very, VERY low risk of death for healthy people without pre-existing conditions. Even without mask or vaccine.

People die. It's sad, but it's a fact of life. Shutting the world down over a disease is useless. Politicizing treatments is downright wrong. It's up to each what they want to do (if anything) about it. I don't want to get vaccinated. You do. Guess what? We each chose that because we have that right. Also, the death rate is very low altogether. And excluding the elderly and people with underlying conditions, it's even lower. By a huge margin.
