In reality Elon Musk has a ton of bad decisions behind him and Tesla is only doing well due to government subsidies, but I'd vote for him for president over Biden.

That's a pretty simple bare minimum & I'm grateful for your honesty. It's worth mentioning that I feel if Musk were president, he'd be not that much different from Biden.

the issue that would probably make me vote for biden over musk is infrastructure. since Elon Musk is a car salesman, his priority would be selling electric cars. They may be better on Carbon emissions, but that's pretty much it. Electric trains can do that and more compared to electric cars.

My reason is that Musk is a businessman and he hasn't been in government for almost 100 years.

SpaceX just landed for reuse the orbital booster for the 100th time. In the last year SpaceX put more payload into orbit than the rest of the world combined. SpaceX is currently the only domestic program to send astronauts to the space station. And for far less cost than paying the Russians.
