As for the Trump-Russia conspiracy, it was far more threatening to sovereignty because Trump was lawfully elected. His authority, however, was undermined by a false conspiracy theory. This means that the lawful will of the people was violated by people using underhanded means. When this occurs, it means that democracy cannot function as it was intended.

Chris Wallace asked if Trump would say that groups would "stand down". After an exchange during which Trump already condemned them, Trump told them to "stand back and stand by", which sounds a lot like he meant for them to "stand down".

My guess is that you did not even know that Trump had already condemned white supremacists in that very speech, and as done so multiple times in the past.
