Hello, just came to say not all of us are toxic. I’m literally a cupiosexual catholic, so what’s really the point of making fun of my own community, right?
I wasn't saying all Christians/Catholics are toxic. In fact, that wasn't even my comment. I've seen many examples of Christians using religion as a way to be homophobic. In fact, I'm kinda indifferent to religion because of it.
Also, I'm not an aetheist. For me, religion's like "Sure God exists, but I'm not doing all the things like praying & going to church, and I sure a HECK don't believe in the whole 'God Hates Gays' nonsense."
For the record, I don't hate Christians, Catholics, or anyone who takes religion seriously. It's just that for me, the hate I've seen towards the LGBTQ community from Christians has made religion an uncomfortable topic for me.
Which I completely understand. Most of the time I’d just ignore the homophobia that I’d normally get, but if you have a different way of dealing with it, then go for it. Nothing is stopping you but your imagination.
Off-topic question but what part of the lgbt community are you part of? I’m cupiosexual.
I haven’t came out to my parents. I’m still gathering info about their status with the lgbtq community. Maybe it would be better to just ask a question but I’m too nervous that my mother may gain suspicion.
