Ignorance is what makes it possible for the evil to do what it does. Evil is the instigator, and ignorance is the enabler.

If English is not your first language, I can understand your confusion, but you are using Evil as a subject in the active voice, as if someone could talk to it as a thing unto itself. This is fundamentally superstitious sounding.

Some people are superstitious, some unreflective, and some aren't educated on this nuance of English grammar. I'm just curious what your frame of reference is: ignorance, belief, or translation.

it is often said that "Ignorance is bliss" however- I always thought that ignorance is a bad thing. for it can cause us to do evil without knowing it.

People reject knowledge, be it from our Lord himself or another man; some of us have even heard the phrase "ignorance is bliss," because those people live in a fantasy where they're in charge, so the Lord has sent them into their vile ways of a delusion where unrighteousness and evil is blessed (2 Thessalonians 2:11). That's what the Enemy wants you to think: that just because you're completely erroneous, without a craving for true wisdom, you can get what you want how you want it. We live in a society where ignorance is idolized and pure wisdom is condemned, and those who can detect and justify the ignorance of any man red-handed are tried, judged, and tormented by forces of evil. A nation divided and blinded by evil and ignorance is not of God and his kingdom, nor is it even a nation if it can't stand against itself (Mark 3:23-27).

I generally dislike using the Bible - or any scripture for that matter - as a source of authority, but I must admit that is totally on point and I see very little to disagree with. That which I would disagree with is trivial an tangential in this context, however. So thanks for showing people how it's done!

I don't think anyone is really waiting for anti-vaxxers to die off. Some of them (maybe as many as 2%?) will die from Covid, and many will end up with natural immunity (some of those with Long Covid dogging them for months or years afterward). My hope is that we as a society learn from this so that when the next pandemic hits, people won't be arguing about common sense public health practices.

Ignorance is the one at fault because with our intelligence and wisdom it is nigh impossible to discern evil and good. In Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 (Odd I know) the main characters are blinded and fooled by an evil scientist who was also the main character’s idol as he did evil and selfish acts.
