Ins't there something in the Bible about some places called Sodom and some other place, where they were destroyed because it was wall to wall thots?

Maybe it is time to start caring less about abortion, and try caring more about keeping pants on instead? I mean, if one had fewer than 35 sexual partners a week, maybe there are less pregnancies?

You are mistaken. In the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God due to the rampant cases of rape.

What you know about anything is nothing.
S&G were destroyed because of sin. All kinds of sin. Not just rape.
Perhaps you should be reading the Bible instead of commenting on the Bible, eh, Toots?

yes, they did other sins than rape, like adultery, but at no point does the bible condemn abortion.

Yes. Exodus 20 the Ten Commandments #5 Thou shall not murder.

I've never murdered any living animal nor person.

How can you murder any dead animal or dead person?

"...he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her" (John 8:7).

no one is casting any stones

you called me a murderer. "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matthew 7:1)
0 ups, 3y
I call anyone who murders a murderer. That isn't judging them. I leave that to the courts and GOD.
0 ups, 3y
the bible is very much against your accusing me of murder, as stated in Matthew 7:1 & John 8:7 not just because it's wrong to cast aspersions but because I've never murdered any animals nor people.

There's also nothing against airplane hijacking, insurance fraud, or election fixing. Does that mean those things aren't wrong?

Paraphrasing, "follow the commandments". I believe thou shall not kill is in those commandments. The question is when does life begin. Most (humans & scientists) accept life ends when brain activity is not sufficient to sustain life. In a fetus, at 23 weeks brain activity is at that activity level. For most, science has decided life is present at 23 weeks.

I am not a "forced birth extremist" and I do not hold to the beliefs of any extremist. What about science identifying "brain activity" as identifying marker for sustained life?

One wonders what it is, that makes women incapable of making any decisions before there is a pregnancy.I mean, I loaded the dishwasher today, and I did not have to think about infanticide at all, in any way.

I wonder if there is some activity women could avoid, or make better decisions around, that would render the entire debate moot.

The Bible does not consider one alive until their first breath is taken. Read Genisis 2:7

Yes, I stole these wonderful verses from Graeystone.

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Isaiah 49:1 "Listen to me, O coastlands, and give attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.

Job 31:15 Did not he who made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?

Romans 9:11 Though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls—

Luke 1:44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

none of those passages say anything against abortion nor do they claim a fetus is alive before its first breath.
1 up, 3y
Little known fact: the Bible has an abortion mandate with instructions for fetuses conceived out of wedlock by married women. Numbers 5:11-31
0 ups, 3y
Doesn't say anything FOR abortion either, honeybunch.
Nor does it claim a fetus is dead before its first breath.
Look, sweetpea...just keep you legs closed and you won't have to worry about murdering your child in your womb.
Simple, isn't it?

it's not murder if it's not alive. According to the bible, the fetus is not a man until it has breathed its first breath.
0 ups, 3y
Greaystone, none of those passages say anything against abortion nor do they claim a fetus is alive before its first breath.
0 ups, 3y
a fetus is neither a man nor a woman until it breathes its first breath, according to the bible

How dare you!
How do you know that the fetus isn't a woman?
Well???
