You don't understand strategy very well. The Taliban couldn't outright beat the US military, but look what they did, they outlasted us. Look at Vietnam. The Viet Cong couldn't have outright beat the US military, but they outlasted us.
Anyway, you should study various forms of warfare, moral, guerrilla tactics, etc., before you make assumptions like that.
