I've got connections in California and it looks like whoever made that youtube video that you based your meme on had a different ballot.

Putting this recall ballot in the envelope normally, the hole does not align. Looks like you have to put the ballot in the envelope upside down to even get close to making them align because the bubble you fill in is on the right side of the ballot and the hole next to where you sign is on the left side.

Based on this I thought your meme was bullsh*t at first because the "yes" isn't even upsidedown and yet somehow it appears to be aligned..... Maybe not all of the ballots were identical. Not sure. Maybe they send those aligned ballots out to the red districts.

This is legit, it has been confirmed. It is more than just to control the votes and throw out, but they actively know who you are and where you stand politically. Expect harassment, etc...

There is absolutely no purpose to why there is a hole punched there other than to identify who is voting for the recall.

Being locked in your house can make anyone a little unsettled but what are you talking about? Filling in the Yes bubble does NOT make you a Republican. All it means is that you do not like the job that Gavin Newsom has done as governor and you want to replace him with someone else. That someone else could be another Democrat. It could be a Republican. It could be whatever party affiliation people on the ballot belong to.

That's because we don't vote often enough. It has only been recent that in person voting was extended to allow people to early vote. I am not sure when it all changed and how many states have changed it but I am thinking it was about 10 years ago when you could early vote.

That being said the cost of maintaining voting buildings for an event that happens, at the federal level, every 2 years would be far too costly.

Now the problem is that there are a whole lot of Democrats here and some will read your comment and eventually that idea will make it back to the federal government and if the Democrats are in power then they will look at this as yet another way to spent this nation into oblivion.

That is true. There are so many other things they could have done rather than put holes in the envelope. No part of a ballot is to be visible in any way once inside the envelope.

BTW... Awesome meme with the cat.

"It is a good shrubbery. I like the laurels particularly. We are now... no longer the Knights Who Say Ni.

We are now the Knights Who Say Ecky-ecky-ecky-ecky-pikang-zoom-boing-mumble-mumble
Ni
Therefore, we must give you a test. Firstly, you must find... another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two-level effect with a little path running down the middle. Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... with... a herring!"

(I used to have a lot of it memorized but I've forgotten most of it so I had to look it up. Even so I don't think I could have remember everything in this scene back in the day when I watched the Holy Grail far too many times.)

The killer rabbit is one of the better scenes. I like "If I went around saying I was emperor because some moisten bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away". I also like the line towards the beginning of that scene with Terry Jones dressed as an old peasant says to Michael Palin (aka Denis): "Denis, there's some lovely filth over here."

I also like the bridge keeper scene. Bridge Keeper: "What is your favorite color?" Sir Galahad (I think, I can't remember right now): "Yellow, no Bluuuuuuuuue". Or Bridge Keeper: "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?" King Arthur: "What do you mean? An African or European?" Bridge Keeper: "I don't know thaaaaaaaaaatttttt"

The one part of the movie that I have hated ever since I first saw Holy Grail is the ending where the cops show up and arrest everyone. That was the dumbest movie ending. That and Blazing Saddles movie ending are the worst and I like Blazing Saddles also.

WOW~ You and me, too! I am still hurt by that ending. God Bless you! I thought I was alone! You are truly an in-depth aficionado. I must admit that, though I LOVE Holy Grail and fall to pieces when the knight gets all his limbs lobbed off and he says, "It's just a flesh wound", my first 2 favs are The Meaning of Life and Life of Brian. Damn! I can feel my stomach hurt, right now, thinking about Biggus Dickus and Incontinentia Buttocks!

Biggis Dickus and Incontinentia Buttocks!!!! That was just too funny. Life of Brian was pretty good. The Meaning of Life wasn't all that funny to me. I saw them all in the theater when they came out (cause I'm old like that). I was 17 when I saw Holy Grail. Back then I thought Mr Creosote was the only funny thing in The Meaning of Life. "Would you care for a mint, they're wafer thin". "Oh okay" BOOM!!!! Now that I am older that joke doesn't hold up for me. Regardless if either my wife or I eat too much one of us will say to the other, "Would you care for a mint. They're wafer thin"

I guess that and the Catholic family with their hundreds of babies versus the Protestant family was kind of funny.

Oh you are definitely NOT the only one. I have met several in my lifetime. I even got invited to a Monty Python party back in the 80's. You had to come dressed as any character from anything Monty Python. There were about 20 to 30 people there from what I remember. I didn't know any of them, I went with a friend who only knew a few of them. But it was still a lot of fun. I went dressed as a Gumby from a few episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnKWH2HfoMU (This video is the audio of one of Monty Pythons albums the released in the 70's. Unfortunately YouTube doesn't have the full Gumby surgery sketch) At one point we broke into small groups to re-enact sketches from Flying Circus.

Mr. Creosote made me laugh until the tears came out. I am a writer/composer and every time I see Meaning of Life I wind up writing some kinda epic dissertation! LOL. It's that meaningful to me. Wow! Those parties sound like fun! Are you from the UK? There's nothing like that where I hang my hat.

No. You might think that party was in the UK because I had stumbled on this video when I was looking for the Gumby brain surgeon video yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey2MW_f4s08 This video is from the UK.

I grew up in So. California and the party was in Pasadena. I don't live in California any more. My wife and I moved away about 20 years ago. We live in Utah now.

That is cool that you are a writer/composer. Is that a writer and a composer? What I mean is do you write books and compose music or do you mean that you write and compose music? I guess you could say I am a writer also but no one would want to read what I write except for a computer. I am a software developer.

I listened to the song and kept thinking I've heard it before. I may have and because my memory sucks the older I get I probably just forgot. My faulty memory says nothing about the song, just that my brain doesn't hang onto to stuff like it used to.

So I looked up your band on Wikipedia and also that song. Wikipedia says that both LeeAnn Rimes and Kelly Clarkson did covers of that song.

That's awesome.

I have two nephews that have gotten really good on the guitar. Even though I can't stand heavy metal I still have been trying to encourage them as much as I could to succeed. The oldest of the 2 got married a few years ago so I don't think he will pursue a career in music but his younger brother might. I think I might have influenced them some (or at least I'd like to tell myself that) to look at other kinds of music other than metal music. Metal is still their favorite but at least they are listening to and even liking music I never thought I would ever think they would like.

The oldest of the two lived with us for a few years when he was in high school. I grew up on 70's rock and kept trying to encourage him to start a band that wrote songs in the style or style similar enough to one of the great rock bands from the 70's. He wrote a song for a school project that was all of his own creation. He tried a kitchen sink approach and put a bunch of different styles into it. It was horrible but I never told him that.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Thanks for letting me hear some of your music. I've going to pay attention this year to see if I hear it or someone covering it.
1 up, 3y
That would be very kind of you, my friend. It will be played more on Country, Easy Listening, Oldies and Middle-of-the-Road Pop Stations. Here's a brand new song that just did a video for. I am test-marketing it. It was written for the aftermath of a Hurricane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nps5bNer4G8

Paranoid??? With the Democrats track record??? It is far past paranoia or conspiracy theory.

Can you explain why that hole was strategically placed there? In fact why are there holes in the envelope at all. There aren't supposed to be any holes, period. The idea is to make you vote secret. No one should know, by looking at the envelope, who you should vote for.

But not in California. They want to know not just if this ballot is for recall but who is voting for it. The voter's information and signature is on the envelope.

You tell me what the purpose of all that is? It does not directly affect me because I don't live in California. But it indirectly affects me because I live in a state that is close enough to California that we are getting a whole lot of California refugees who are fleeing that state as fast as they can.

Well first off Factcheck.org is about as reliable as a used car salesman. They are funded by the Annenberg Project, a leftist think tank.

Second, the idea of punching holes that you can see the ballot for the visually impaired is impractical and irresponsible. Braille works pretty good and it doesn't compromise the election. Sending special ballots and envelopes to those visually impaired to request them would also be much more efficient than sending them to everyone.

Third. Oregon is hardly the state to copy. One far leftest state copies the ballots from another far leftest state.

I never said there was any instruction to put the ballot in in any specific way. But from the way that the woman in the video said it it seems like putting the ballot in with the Yes visible from the hole seems the most logical.

I'll have to ask my brother. He still lives in So. Cal. He'll get one of these ballots and he can give me more information about it.

Considering how Democrats have been cheating for decades and considering the most obvious attempts at voter fraud happened last year, this really is questionable that there is any other reason than to throw out Yes vote ballots.

When Democrats get disparate the voter fraud becomes more apparent.

Putting holes in ballots that expose how that voter is voting is NOT reliable. The GOP hasn't, to my knowledge, proposed any ballot legislation in California. And even if they did it wouldn't go anywhere. Your point is moot.

I haven't heard anything from Larry Elder about election fraud in California. Trump crying election fraud is nothing new nor is he wrong.

What is wrong is the Democrats refusal to look into it AND more importantly their standing in the way of any kind of legislation that would try to eliminate election fraud.

Election fraud is so important to Democrats that they will even come right and say that blacks are too stupid to get a voter ID or do anything else that Democrats say is "disenfranchising minorities".

The ONLY voting laws that have ever actually prevent blacks from voting were passed by Democrats.

Also, check out this interview. 24 hours before the election and voter fraud is all he can talk about.

And please let us know what the Democrats did to prevent blacks to vote. Because there is a HUGE list of things the Insurrectionist Party has done to stop the black vote. They know just like you, that the black vote flipped Georgia blue.

I'm guessing you still live in California and that is why you know more about than I do. My wife and I left California 20 years ago. She was born there and we were both raised there. California is where I lived most of my life. In the LA area.

I don't have a problem with Elder calling it as he sees it. I think he is right. A HUGE amount of money came into Cal from out of state trying to keep Nuisance in office. Of course none of those contributors have to live in the squalor that Newsom has turned Cali into.

So you want to know when the Dems voted against blacks. Well, you're gonna have to go back a few years. Way back when the Dems were still pissed off that the Republicans freed their slaves. They passed several laws, the most famous of them are called the Jim Crow laws.

Republicans have never once passed a law that prevented anyone from voting. The Dems will scream bloody murder if the Republicans want to make the election process more honest but that is because Dems have been cheating for decades. It is just who you guys are. You have no morals or integrity.

It is a long and slow process but fortunately many blacks are realizing just how racist the Dems are. How they are just using the blacks and manipulating them just so they can stay in power. The Dems purposely do everything they can to keep blacks poor because they can control them better. Fortunately that is about to end. Blacks are leaving the Democrat party a lot. They see that freedom never existed in the Democrat party, especially for blacks.

More blacks voted for Trump in 2020 than any other Republican candidate. Georgia didn't turn blue. Georgia was stolen. They were one of the hardest hit with voter fraud.

I'm sorry but anyone who has to go back 150 years to prove a point has no worthy position. Forget about the fact that back then the Republicans were the liberals....hence why Lincoln was anti-slavery...but you show me one person from those days who is alive and in a position of influence today, and I'll consider lending credence to your historical observation.

"Republicans have never once passed a law that prevented anyone from voting." Are you high? How about in black areas, limiting drop boxes and polling stations. Now the black people in Georgia have to stand in line for 8 to 10 hours instead of 2 to 3 hours in order to vote. And no water or bathroom breaks. Sounds to me like they are trying to quell the black vote that caused the state to flip. Oh my how you Trumpers must have hated the black people for that. If only they didn't live there. Right?

And then this crap about requiring ID when they know that black communities struggle with that for a multitude of reasons. If they said that ID was required but that they were starting a staunch initiative to help every citizen obtain their IDs at reduced or no cost, then I would have been more receptive.

But the truth is that there was NEVER A PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH so there was no reformation that needed to happen. It is simply the Insurrectionist Party's way of controlling the election, along with gerrymandering. Republicans NEVER want a free and fair election. The #1 evidence of that is their support for Trump's Big Lie. And before you go off on a kool-aid induced rant, instead of telling me its not a lie, you'll need to prove it because thus far there has not been any proof at all. PLUS we had a planned insurrection over it.

"I'm sorry but anyone who has to go back 150 years to prove a point has no worthy position."

You missed the point. The point is that there has been no laws prohibiting anyone from voting from any party since a century or more ago. That was the point I was making. Dems today try to tell you otherwise but they are dead wrong. They are trying to use racism to stop anti-voter fraud legislation. So unless Democrat believe that only black people cheat at elections then these laws have nothing to do with race. But then it wouldn't be a stretch for Dems to think that. They've already said blacks are too stupid to get a voter ID card.

"but you show me one person from those days who is alive and in a position of influence today, and I'll consider lending credence to your historical observation."

If mankind lived 200 years or more then I might be able to show you "one person from those days who is alive". However, I can show you their ideological descendants. Senators Rand Paul, Mike Lee and Ted Cruz.

"How about in black areas, limiting drop boxes and polling stations. Now the black people in Georgia have to stand in line for 8 to 10 hours."

That sounds suspicious to me. There is no way a party could change the number of polling locations in an area where the majority of the people were from another party. It is always the party in power who changes stuff like that. Right now I am guessing that is Democrat propaganda. Much like how the Democrats are lying through their teeth trying to cover for Biden's treasonous actions in Afghanistan.

"And then this crap about requiring ID when they know that black communities struggle with that for a multitude of reasons"

Really? Have you ever thought about asking black people what they think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW2LpFkVfYk

The ID's are given out. They don't cost anything (other than the taxes on the back end). If they charged for them then that would be considered a poll tax and we eliminated poll taxes.

It is really odd how we can require black people to fill out complicated tax forms every year but when it comes to something as simple as a voter Id all of the sudden they just cannot do it. I'm not buying the BS.

"It is simply the Insurrectionist Party's..." Look up the word insurrection and learn what it means. Jan 6th was NOT an insurrection. It was not an attempt to overthrow the government. If anything it was an attempt to restore our government but it wasn't even that.
