let alone trump. regardless of whether he had the right to investigate esptein, there was never a little vacuum that prevented him from at least verbally approving an investigation or encouraging a private entity (like that doing the arizona audits) to do a bit of their own work.

we've seen that he can motivate people to do things on his behalf. his charisma alone killed entire political careers because of the people that admired and stanned him. imagine if he'd set his fanbase on epstein. if he wasn't guilty of being one of epstein's friends (which he is), he would've had nothing to lose. however, if his fanbase investigated epstein on their own, and a little research told them that their hero trump is a pedophile, said fanbase would diminish, collapse, and possibly have infights until it became toxic waters (like the swamp trump began living after becoming president).
