You know the Taliban has already started, or hasn't stopped, executions of people on the list.
And the Taliban was already going door to door looking for the people on the list before the airport closed, right?

No, he did not, because he didn't begin it despite his own May1 deadline.

Besides, like his mini war with Iran that there were concerns he might nuke them as well, everyone knows this was set up to screw things up for his replacement.

Oh, for the record, no, I do not support Bungling Biden either, nor advocate assisting the Taliban in any way. Just pointing out a logic in this particular scenario.

Countries should be allowed to do as they wish, and in this case, seal up the borders, turn the cameras off, then return and sweep up the dust in a decade and see if we can put that pile of dusty gypsum to productive use, like a refuge for wildlife or a big ski resort or something.

If all these people can want to do is kill each other, then sometimes getting out of the way and respecting their wishes is a win-win. Those who don't wish to fight for their country can go with it too then. Twenty years wasted creating a state of the art army and they cut and run. Let the cowards die and the aggressors obliterate each other.

Maybe the reason he didn't begin it was because the Taliban didn't meet the conditions they had agreed to, in reference to working with the Afghanistan government. I'm not sure their coup would qualify.

I'm not in favor of fighting either, but I do believe our presence there with our allies made a difference in the safety of the people who lived there. I mean look what they're subject to now. As well as the safety of all of us back here being diminished.

I know you can't change what the Taliban does they thrive off the killing of people, and trying to nation build didn't work. But why give the terrorist more power over us?

The Taliban didn't meet any conditions in reference to working with the Afghanistan government because none were agreed to, as the Afghan government was completely left out of the talks and the agreement.

And this was for all meetings (unless I missed something later), because the only one I came across that did invite them was the one scheduled in Camp David for the Eve of 9/11, of all dates, and that would have been a separate one from the first of the day which would have been with the Taliban.

Because the Taliban didn't do their part to work with the Afghanistan government, even if the Afghanistan government was left out of the meetings, was a condition of our exiting Afghanistan. And we also wanted to keep some forces there to try and keep the peace after the Afghanistan government and the Taliban came to some kind of plan to exist together. But that never happened.

So then Joe Biden comes along, who wants to say he ended the war on 9/11, and here we are with the thirteen troops killed. How do you think that compares with one scheduled meeting on 9/11?

No.
Again, Trump had multiple meetings with the Taliban, he made the agreement with the Taliban, and his plan was to evacuate our soldiers and leave Afghanistan with the Taliban. Period.
Even the cancelled Camp David Eve of 9/11 meeting with the gov't was to be separate from that with the Taliban the same day.

The Eve of 9/11 meetingS were cancelled by a terrorist attack in Kabul by the Taliban.

9/11 is a sacred day.
Did you know if you look straight south from an apartment building in Lorillard Place in the Bronx you could see the smoke coming up in that exact line, 2 days thick black blowing towards Brooklyn, the 3rd day turning greyer and blowing towards NJ, after that turning whiter? Do you know how I know that? Staring day after day all day, view out the window, waiting to wake up from a nightmare that never ended.

That disgustingly cold creature had a closer view - probably could hear it too, and yet invited that vile filthy excrement to the place where plans were drawn to go to war against them and their Al Queda pals? And you're trying to make this a "how does that compare to..." thing? What on Earth can that be compared to? I'll be damned if I ever see anything again that compares to that. People died that day. Period.

I'm very sorry for what you experienced.

But wasn't that the reason we went to Afghanistan in the first place, so that could never happen again?

Those who died and their loved ones experienced far worse.

We went there to extirpate those responsible.

He made and signed an agreement with the Taliban, of which I highly doubt they would have been fine with him reneging on, the consequence of which would have been blood.
Plus he has a certain fondness for trying to please these types beyond what would be in our or anyone else's interest other than their own.

Because the massive screw-ups which are leftist politcians are in total control of our nation until the mid-term elections sweep them out of power pretty much across the board . . . and crawling into political bed with terrorists is what leftist politcians DO. It's sort of their trademark. We all remember how Barack Obama all but openly offered to give the Castro brothers of Cuba a blow job or two.

Ah yes democratic doubletalk. It's what they do best. And how could they say they achieved anything if they didn't F it up first.

Sleeping with the enemy and paying for it sounds like prostitution to me.

Boy do I know I live in one of the most progressive cities in the country, and I've been fighting them for years now. So unfortunately I'm very sorry to say I'm very aware of their tricks.
