I agree. While the Democrats are, in my opinion, better than the Republicans, the Wii Party is far superior to both. It’s a shame they never win elections.

The Democratic Party is the liberal party in America. We stand for big government and social security so the average American can afford healthcare. Many of our greatest presidents, JFK, Obama, FDR, Jackson, were Democrats. That’s not to say the Republicans are ALL bad, in fact the Republicans are just as keen on helping the average American, but I personally feel the Democrats are better. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. But we can all agree that the Wii Party triumphs over both. Wii Party 2024 baby

Yeah, Reagan was pretty awesome. Not all Republicans are bad, and not all Democrats are good.

I’ve already discussed this at length and don’t really want to repeat myself, but here goes, hopefully quickly.

First off: Anti-white racial slurs are a thing. Honkey, whitey, cracker — those are some words we wouldn’t feature here as insults.

However, speaking as a white person myself, “mayo” or “mayonnaise” just doesn’t rise to that level. I’d imagine every other white person who uses this stream feels the same. However, conservatives seem to have their panties in a twist over it. So what’s going on?

To me it’s more like the term “Karen,” which isn’t generally considered to be a sexist term. Mayo attacks a mindset rather than a literal white person or people. Specifically, it attacks a conservative mindset. That’s why conservatives hate it and liberals don’t.

So, I won’t be censoring the word “mayo” here with my mod powers.

However, site mods could swing by here and ding and timer ya for it, and I can’t help that. So roll safe and if you can’t do the time, don’t do the condiment crime!

It's being used as a slur. Why stoop to their level? I downvote every mayo meme I see.

I don’t see it as stooping to a level. I see the use of a Mayo jar in a meme (for instance) as the equivalent of slapping transparent Karen hair onto your meme subject. Provides some comedic relief.

Karen hair is no doubt evocative of a woman — but does “Karen” really set out to mock women? I don’t think so. I think it mocks a mindset and I think Mayo does the same. Again as a white person myself, mayo does not register the same as cracker or whitey.

But thanks for your input.

Kinda unrelated but have you heard of or read this book? I’m about to start reading it and I’ve been warned of how much it exposes the disgusting truth. I have a good feeling about it though since it was recommended by IB Hist teacher

No, but it looks like something I'd like to read in the future.

I sure wish the city library would reopen. Damn you, Covid variants!

Indeed. Buying books on Amazon or something can get pricey. I find the concept of overcharging books hilarious because the best book I've read I found at a d o l l a r s t o r e
