Does the face shield have weird chemicals? I know that if I don’t wash my mask it can trigger my asthma, but I’ve never had a problem with face shields. They could have an anxiety problem with things on their face, since stress can activate asthma.

Some of the masks actually do - recent meme - have CA carcinogen warning tags on them.

I suspect the real issue is hypoxia and CO2 toxicity, plus bacterial infestations, but if the remedy is worse than the malady, as it is, the solution is obvious.

Science has proven that masks don’t cause CO2 toxicity, and your friend seems to be the only one having problem with masks that has asthma. I haven’t had any problems and neither has anyone else I know

That's like saying science has proven gravity doesn't actually make masses attract.

People have tested the CO2 concentrations behind masks as unacceptable. On the obverse, air is normally about 21% oxygen, and OSHA rules forbid lower than 19%. Guess what rule also gets violated by masks? Yep.

I can tolerate things as an individual that others can't. The same is true for you.

its just a little uncomfortable every time you exhale and inhale you suck and a face full of cloth and then you smell your own bad breath also over time the ear loops hurt. I don't disagree with this meme and I do think that we should still wear masks. they are a lil bit uncomfortable but they are definitely manageable and they protect you
