Maybe it took you 18+ years to figure out what gender you are. But it's much less of a struggle for most other people. Have you considered minding your own business?
5 ups, 3y,

Also the fact that it says "pick" at gender just goes to show they don't fully understand what gender is. It cannot be picked
5 ups, 3y,

Exactly you don’t pick a gender it’s something that’s set in stone the minute you’re born
4 ups, 3y,
1 reply
No, you’re mistaken. You’ve confused gender and sex. “What’s in your pants” is sex and gender is something completely different. Also sex isn’t even “set in stone”, it can change. Both sex and gender are a fluid spectrum
3 ups, 3y,

Right through surgery sorta like how being fat isn’t set in stone you can exercise and diet or have different surgeries but you people talk about “Fat shaming” and how it’s a terrible thing and that being fat is genetic and it’s not the person’s fault
4 ups, 3y,
1 reply
What happened to “love your body” oh or is that no longer what you should do if you don’t like a body part you should cut it off
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
Well, the point of the two surgeries are different. One is to help the outer self and the inner self align with each other in a way that's otherwise impossible to change. The other is to remove an excess of bodily lipids which comes from a *combination* of genetic and external factors.

You can diet to lose weight; you can't diet to change what's in your pants.

"Fat shaming" tends to be a bad thing, but there's a point where it's decidedly not just genetic and you have to speak up and try to help them. That being said, taunting anyone about something that they're already not proud of is a detrimental thing to that person's mental state. It's a balance. Genetic vs external and taunting vs advice.

My dad died when I was 13 two years before that I got a Dutch Shepherd the dog I always dreamed of getting and then after owning him for 6 months my dad’s health grew worse and my mom lost her job so we had to give him up the month after my dad died my grandmother died before this I already suffered from bipolar people of course mocked me for my dad dying I lost all motivation but then I was watching Beelzebub and it made me laugh I finally felt happy after 7 months of barely moving and a single quote made me realize there’s no point in wasting my life away crying over a few dead bodies
“The tougher it gets the less a man should cry Do you know why Because tears wash away the pain and suffering But those emotions become weapons when you truly need them”
2 ups, 3y
Well, I'm sorry for your loss. That must have been an incredibly difficult time in your life. I'm glad you got through it.

Carrying on after losing people is a valiant thing to do.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is about taking initiative in one's life, yes?
If so, I agree. Being able to forge your own destiny is something everyone should be able to do. Perseverance is key.

If gender is some social norm or something why does it matter if someone had a bumper sticker that said “I love my straight child” you idiots would start to cry so why do you people have to state that you love your gay child so why do you have to “come out” no one cares no one would care if I randomly “came out” as more of a Chevy man than a Ford or More of a Ferrari guy than a Lambo or I like the Chien De Berger Belge more than the German Shepherd Dog or Zelda more than Mario no would care if I said I’m a proud weeaboo cause that’s irrelevant to literally anything it’s cringe worthy at best no one would care if I said I’m more interested in 2D than 3D because once again no one cares so why should anyone care about your 4 different genders you “identify” as

Clearly you don’t know what incest is so if you don’t understand that basic part of the sexual world you can’t be making up new sexes

I mean... they're not. Nobody is saying biological sexes are changeable; they're saying that gender is.

This goes off the basis that gender is defined by personality and internal self-image.

No one is ignoring science here, and, in fact, has cooperated therewith in numerous studies.

I reiterate that language is a very fluid thing. It has roots and origins, but everything does. Yet you wouldn't call a firework punk a f####t because the word has been given a very negative connotative definition in the modern age.
2 ups, 3y,

2 ups, 3y,

The origin has nothing to do with identity or anything of the sort
0 ups, 3y
Gender most doesn't mean nation, and it doesn't mean family, and yet that's what the word 'genus' meant. And genus is still a word, and it's a grouping in taxonomy, which keeps the 'family' definition, but has nothing to do with birth or nations.

We've picked, chosen, and modified definitions throughout history. It's the reason dictionaries have *had* editions for centuries. Because things *do* get rewritten when definitions change. And when they do, the old one remains until it's no longer used. Words like stock, cell, and locomotive had more definitions tacked onto them in the past 300 years. We're not just making things up. And updated definitions are a thing too. We defined the word 'planet' differently 30 years ago than we do now, for example.
'Libtards' aren't the only people who rewrite dictionary entries. Language is a constantly evolving thing, and it has been for millennia.
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
No. It doesn't. But meanings change throughout history and culture. Symbols for luck become symbols for hate, symbols for life become symbols for death, words change in meaning. Culture defines terms. How gender is used in today's setting denotes identification, whether anyone likes it or not. The origin of a word can have nothing to do with its modern meaning.
1 up, 3y
Right they change throughout history once you libtards start whining about how you wanna rewrite the dictionary

But that’s just when I realized the difference between the TWO genders I “identified” as a boy for as long as I can remember which is about one and half but that’s because I could barely run without tripping if I could understand the world better at that when I was a newborn I think I’d “identify” as dude

This is precisely why in most places hormone treatment is either severely limited or banned before age 18.
This in and of itself is a smart decision, as it allows people to continue self-exploring before making any sort of huge decision. And even then, opt-in gender surgery often has a *multi-year* wait list.

Then why can’t I take steroids to help me with my boxing answer hypocrisy a dude can enter women’s sports as long as he cuts off his ding dong and grow out his hair people can take hormones cause they’re too insecure about their femininity/masculinity and wanna pretend to be the opposite gender and if they’re allowed to take hormones because they’re supposedly ACTUALLY the opposite sex than since I’m obviously a dude it should be perfectly legal for me to use artificial hormones
0 ups, 3y
Well, the difference is baselines. Gender-related hormone treatment is supposed to get people to baseline hormones for a male or female. What's illegal is going past that baseline.
It's exploitable in several contexts, sure, and there should be rules therein. Again, it's a bit of a process. We're still working out the kinks, but we've made so much progress in the meantime. Now it's just a matter of streamlining things and keeping things fair.

Mk, let me rephrase that. They function perfectly fine. Just atypically for someone of their genotype. Which is fine. They're not broken or malfunctioning, they're not invalid, and they're perfectly them. They're unique and beautiful individuals, and I meant no offense by saying what I said. All I meant to say was that Titanic was right in that they often have low self-esteem and genotypically atypical neurochemistry. However, they're not malfunctioning or incapable of dignity by any means. Sorry if that's what it seemed like I was saying. That was stupid of me.
0 ups, 3y
I mean...
You literally hit the nail on the head.
Very bluntly, but ya did.

Gender dysphoria tends to stem from neurochemical and psychological abnormalities for someone of that genetic sex.

And they have impacted self-esteem and self-dignity as a result of not feeling their body fits their brain.
1 up, 3y
Yeah, which is why there's also treatment that holds natural hormones back for until they've had more life experience. Kind of like waiting to fire the clay til later. At least that's what I've heard. It's still an expanding field with research to do.

I just don’t get why ya’ll need abortion it’s pretty simple to just not have sex I mean all you have to do is well not have sex it’s pretty simple you just don’t flirt with anyone you don’t have any sexual/romantic relationships if you don’t have good self control and if you’re really too much of a perv just masturbate
2 ups, 3y,

It really is pretty simple since I never really wanted a romantic relationship in school (or really ever) whenever a girl asked me out I simply said “No” and walked away then by the time I was approaching my max height I was 6’2 and generic European look with dead looking eyes and rough curly dark hair whenever I looked in the general direction of girls they’d immediately walk away

I mean, you're not wrong; in a lot of situations, it's the person's fault. But then there's factors like rape or contraceptive failure that you have to take into account too. And as for STDs, they can silently spread among the population if people aren't careful. Hence being careful is very much encouraged, but, sadly, it's not always practiced.
