Initially they were to be used to treat the overflow of NON-coronavirus patients. But as cases spiked, Cuomo asked Trump if he could convert the hospitals for Coronavirus patients.

Then the curve flattened and they were no longer needed. They were never even flled to capacity.

Likewise for temporary field hospitals being built in various city parks and whatnot, most cancelled before even being completed because they were no longer needed.

Hate to pop poor Trump's highly sensitive paranoia bubble, but Cuomo didn't ask for them simply not to use them. We have a crisis, for cryng out loud, not one fragile ego's feelz under assault.
