Of course not, that would go against "science".

That video didn't talk about closing off borders. Obviously it's not the only way to slow the spread, but it's a common sense way and we're supposed to have a controlled border anyway.

According to "simulations"?

Who in their right mind gives a damn about simulations? It was computer simulations that got all of this nonsense started, and proved to be very, very wrong.

Simulations = not reality.

But ignore your lying eyes . . .

the funny thing about the lying eyes phrase: the facts are literally visible out in the real world *as well as* in simulations. The closing of borders did jack f**king squat for stemming the tide of the virus. Masking up and keeping personal distance from each other did.

But let me try and understand your point. If there are 10,000 infected immigrants on the other side of the border, how will bringing them to this side not increase the spread rate? This then becomes an exponential issue, gaining momentum.

Moreover, now we have more sick people filling up hospitals, and putting greater strain on the entire system.

Your statement is obvious nonsense.

two things:

1. your "10,000 infected immigrants" comment is whataboutism. Of course if they were all infected they'd be best to be shut out. But the reality is that they've got the same chance of getting infected as we do.
2. when people were following doctor's advice about masks, the cases dropped. Now that we've got a vaccine, people are slacking off, and that has lead to a rise in cases again.

Masks do not work because they cannot work. The reason Fauxci originally said that we should not wear masks was because for the previous 50+ years all science & in-field observations showed that masks cannot prevent the spread of infectious disease. They are physically incapable of dealing with something this small, period. If you watch that video, he uses the once common phrase associated with the common use of masks in the medical field, that being that they may block larger droplets.

The reason we saw the virus peak many times was likely in part because masks gave people a false sense of security, and so they did things perhaps they should not have done.

But the real problem lies with the fact that the PCR test cannot be used as it is being used, so says the man that won the Nobel for inventing it. The flu is a virus on the same order as Covid is, yet people like you are somehow willing to believe that the same mask that could not stop the spread of Covid prevented the spread of the seasonal flu. Nonsense.

I promise you this- we should at the very least subtract the average number of flu cases from the Covid totals, as well as subtract the average number of pneumonia cases, and all other respiratory diseases that often result in the death immune compromised people. Then we might have an approximation of what really happened.

You may not already know that when the WHO decided to reduce the number of cycles run in PCR tests, there was an immediate 40% drop in new cases. Was this some sort of miracle? NO! The way they were running the tests was wrong, and it is surprising how many front line, yet relatively untrained people running these tests fail to understand this. Most people just believe what they are first told by the "experts", and certainly in the average college setting, they have nowhere to turn for any contrary information.

As for "whataboutism", you are not thinking clearly.

1. Someone who does not have the virus cannot spread it, yet you will insist they wear a mask since there is no way to know for sure.
2. Whether 1 in 10,000, 100 in 10,000, or 1,000 in 10,000, letting zero illegal immigrants into the country results in ZERO cases being brought here, along with all of the strain this continues to create on all of our economic and medical systems. Either you take this pandemic seriously, or you do not. Most liberals do not, as evidenced by their willingness to ignore all of the CDC guidelines for things like 0bama birthdays

"Masks do not work because they cannot work. The reason Fauxci originally said that we should not wear masks was because for the previous 50+ years all science & in-field observations showed that masks cannot prevent the spread of infectious disease."

That claim is blatantly false.

(from "Did Masks Work? — The 1918 Flu Pandemic and the Meaning of Layered Interventions")

"This was not simply a question of “mask or no mask,” but of design, construction, supply, and use. The wearer needed to use a well-designed mask properly, and change masks frequently. Therefore, most of the expert complaints about masks around the Spanish Flu pandemic in the US seemed to be about the users and reliable access to steady supplies of properly constructed masks, not the concept of wearing a mask.

Indeed, that’s what the research team led by Howard Markel found when the Pentagon asked them to study the Spanish Flu pandemic. In 2007, they published their report on non-pharmaceutical interventions during epidemics and found that there was a “layered” effect of protection by using multiple techniques together: school closure, bans on public gathering, isolation and quarantine of the infected, limited closure of businesses, transportation restrictions, public risk communications, hygiene education, and wearing of masks.

Masks were not used widely and well enough to make much of a difference, but public health authorities tended to believe in their effectiveness for front line workers exposed to the worst of the flu pandemic."

In essence, masks work when people know how to use them, and work alongside with methods of prevention, like hygiene, social distancing, etc...

I'm not going to sift through the rest of your claims, because this is very obviously a Gish Gallop. And if the very first claim is that woefully incorrect, then the rest is very likely just as bad.

Didn't Florida set a new record for people diagnosed with covid19 in one day recently... masks and personal distance stemmed it?

Obviously masking up and distancing did nothing . . .

Yet here we go doing the same thing again without considering the obvious, stopping the flow of unvaccinated illegals into our country. Because it’s about votes. The more illegals come here the more people who are so thankful to democrats that they will vote Democrat for generations. I’m all honesty they don’t give a single f**k about those people.
