2020, COVID, anyone?
The Websters were leaving because business was shut down. Expensive rents and homes aren't as affordable when you're not working in your upscale web job.

Now that that trend is reversing, so is the direction of moving.

Try to keep up.

If you come to Florida, be prepared to live out in the country, or you will be living in a democratic city. You cant get any more liberal than Tampa Bay. Jacksonville is R ran, but smells like a shit hole. All of the other cities are D ran. Ranch life, or swamp life. The cities are just like any other in any other state.

The Tampa Bay region is barely democratic and has become much more competitive in recent electoral cycles. Trump will win them over in 2024 when he will again become president....and heads like yours will explode for real this time around because he will come much better prepared!
1 up, 3y
Haha you are f**king hilarious, and do not know what you are talking about. You definitely aren't talking about hillsborough county. TheTampa bay mayor is a gay democrat. How would a city vote for a gay democrat, but a republican president. Hahaha. Silly kids.

Biden won Hilsborough county in 2020. The DA is Democrate. Democrats won 5-3 majority in Hillsborough county commission.

The only counties won by democrats, are the counties that have the following cities in them....

Tallahassee, dem won
Jacksonvillle Dem won
Gainesville dem won
Orlando dem won
West palm beach dem won
Miami dem won.

You arent from around here, are you?

Shrug! And yet Trump won easily in Florida....and will win again massively in 2024...only this time in the cities also because over the next 4 years we will get to see the democrats fuc@ up royally in full display! Also of course the democrats won the cities...that is true for most of America because that is where the immigrants go, and where the Black ghettos and Hispanic barrios are....meaning that is where more than 1/3 of America's budget payouts occur....a pay for vote scheme if you will. It is the hard work taxpayers who live in the smaller towns and rural areas who foot that bill!

Yup, because the rest of the state is red. That is my point. Be prepared to live in the swamp or deal with the same shit every other major city in America has. Thanks for proving my point.

I do not know man, there are a lot of non-swamp places in Florida which are Conservative such as Macclenny, Live Oak, DeFuniak Springs, Perry, Gulf Breeze, Milton, Starke, Fernandina Beach, Lake City, and Panama City Beach. Besides, the City of Miami voted Republican in 2020 as the Cuban-American and South American communities switched sides. Just saying man....and those large cities will be voting Republican next year in the Mid-Elections. SHRUG!

You are making my.point.

Stark Florida, is a town built around a State penitentiary. Great place to live, of you are CO.

Live Oak. 6800 people. Whew. And that is the County seat of Suwannee. What a metropolitan city.

As I said, you aren't from around here, are you.

Ummm! Did you forget the City of Miami that Trump won in 2020? That is not exactly 5000 now is it? And Dade County is almost 50/50....But never you mind....the whole darn Florida will go over to Trump after it digests what the FUC@ the democrats are doing to America at the moment....from the best economy and employment in decades....to a shithole!

"The most populous county in Florida, Miami-Dade County is home to 34 incorporated municipalities, cities, towns and villages, as well as to unincorporated communities and neighborhoods. The City of Miami is the largest municipality, followed by Hialeah, Miami Gardens, Miami Beach, North Miami and Coral Gables."

Miami Dade was blue in 2020.you need to take a walk, or a shit. Which one havent you done today?

You aren't from around here, are you?
0 ups, 3y
Shrug! Trump made massive gains in Miami-Dade in 2020 over the 2016 elections. Sure, Biden won by about SEVEN percentage points in a county that Hillary Clinton took in 2016 by TWENTY-NINE percentage point......meaning that in 2020, Trump made a 22 percentage gain in Miami-Dade over his votes in 2016. Shiver and shit yourself libbie and then go for a walk to relieve your stressed-out anal sphincters. You demonrats are going down fast in Florida as to become extinct in 2022-24. And you still lost Florida!

If I am making your point then I am doing a horrendous job of it. Ummmm! Nice, you completely ignored the City of Miami and went immediately for the 5000 population city!
Oh well! No need to get excited and hysterical like the usual run-of-the-mill libbie! Never mind, because Florida, and even those rather conservative democrat-run cities, will all vote bigtime for the Conservatives in 2022, and Trump in 2024....after they have had time to digest the utter catastrophe to America that the senile old man, who cannot even remember that he is president, is causing. SHRUG!

According to DeSantis who has spoken to quite a few....those moving are completely exasperated and fed-up with New York and New Jersey's liberal economy-killing policies....and are largely Conservatives....and those few who are democrats are also looking quite favourable upon Florida's Conservatives policies....that is why they had moved in the first place! Nobody is moving from conservative states.....only from democrat-run states to Conservative-run states!
0 ups, 3y
They're moving because of repeal of the SALT deductions to places where they pay lower taxes which they obviously didn't before for a reason.

In New York City, at least the liberal Wall Street people know they are fuc@ing pricks. In California, and especially in hollywood, people are too stupid to know that they are fuc@ing pricks.
Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the liberal tech bros believe that they are the saviours of the fuc@ing universe with their certifiable crackpot schemes aka "start-ups"....and they are absolutely the fuc@ing worst giant pricks.
Because badly-run liberal states are fast losing their populations to well-run Republican states......they will lose Congressional and Senate seats to Republican states......as these seats will follow the population growth and will be redistributed to Republican states!

"liberal Wall Street people?"

What planet are you from? Wall Street people tend to be Republican on account of it catering to their wants.

Oh, and now that the Pandemic has been turning in NY, people are moving back in droves.

YOU WILL NOTICE THAT I AM QUOTING DATA FROM liberal NEWS MEDIA!!!!!

"So, as a result of the TCJA, high earners PAID MORE TAXES to the government, while EVERYONE ELSE PAID LESS! They also paid a larger percentage of all taxes, while everyone else paid a smaller percentage."

And as for the effect of the SALT reduction on the mIddle- class

While there is no accepted definition for the “middle class,” median family income in 2018 was $63,179, so let’s look at taxpayers making between $50,000 and $100,000.

In 2018, there were about 35 million taxpayers in this bracket, an increase of roughly one million over 2017 (a growing middle class). In total, they owed $31 billion less in 2018 than in 2017. In other words, the middle class got nearly half of the $64 billion decline in taxes owed under the TCJA.

As for their share of the tax burden, it also declined. While they accounted for 22 percent of total income (roughly the same as in 2017), their share of income taxes was 13 percent (over a percentage point less than in 2017).

What are you babbling about?

You're filling my notifications with tons of wall of text copypastes, of which you yourself can't comprehend.

I understand English is not your strong suit, nor is anything else, but do try harder.
0 ups, 3y
And besides on that SALT tax....YOU ARE AS USUAL WRONG.....and have you noticed that biden has left it alone!?????

"Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden often talks about repealing President Trump’s “tax cuts for the wealthy,” claiming in a recent town hall that “about $1.3 trillion of the $2 trillion of the tax cuts went to the top 1/10th of 1 percent” of earners. But did the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) disproportionally benefit high earners? Comparing the income tax data for 2017 (the year before the TCJA became law) with 2018, clearly demonstrates that it did not.

According to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation, the TCJA reduced effective tax rates “for all income groups in 2018.” Because we have a progressive tax system, high earners pay the highest rates and received the largest rate reductions. However, lowering rates for a group of taxpayers does not necessarily reduce their share of the tax burden.

Let’s look at the TCJA’s impact on the top one percent of taxpayers. In 2018, 1.6 million taxpayers reported earning $500,000 or more. While the amount all taxpayers owed the IRS in 2018 declined by $64 billion, the amount these high earners owed increased by $16 billion.

Their share of the tax burden also increased. They accounted for 22 percent of total income in 2018 (a 0.5 percentage point increase over 2017) but their share of total income taxes rose to 40 percent (a 2.3 percentage point increase).

And yes! You have read that right. About 1.6 million, or just ONE PERCENT of all taxpayers, pays 40 % of the income tax burden due to the federal government.

Hahahahaha....You are like 15 - 20 years in the past....maybe from what your leftist professors taught you? You need an update!
It used to be that way but it is no longer that way. Trump has the middle-class support while the democrats have the support of the very rich and the poor. It had been almost 50:50 for the longest while, and in 2016 the donations from Wall Street went 49% to democrats and 50% to Republicans. Overall, the 2020 cycle saw over $625 million from people working in the securities and investment industry, between congressional and presidential contests. Of the nearly $370 million in the 2020 elections from Wall Street that went toward super PACs and outside groups that can raise unlimited amounts of money....Democrats received 63% of the money, and 37% went toward Republicans. Over $161 million went toward Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, while $94 million went to Republicans.

I deliberately chose this data in your favour by picking CNBC....a left of Center news corporation.

You're talking about a reaction to Trump's policies in 2020 vs how he was percieved in 2016, kid.
See SALT tax deductions below.

Your comprehension appears to be non-existent......Did you miss this part? "It had been ALMOST 50:50 for the longest while."

2008 ELECTIONS: The securities industry donated $19 million to Barack Obama's campaign, nearly doubling the $10.4 million raised by Republican Senator John McCain, according to OpenSecrets.
(SOURCE: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/wall-street-is-shunning-trump-campaign-donations-to-biden-are-five-times-larger/ar-BB19qhnu).

2012 ELECTIONS: "Clinton spokesman Josh Schwerin cited a 2012 analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan research group that tracks campaign donations. It found that Obama received $44.3 million in 2008 from the "finance, insurance and real estate" sector. Four years earlier, George W. Bush had received $36 million. Adjusted for inflation, Bush received $41.1 million in 2008 dollars, making Bush and Obama close, but still putting Obama ahead.
But the "finance, insurance and real estate" sector includes industries that go beyond what people traditionally think of as Wall Street. The Center for Responsive Politics has told PolitiFact that the best way to determine what Wall Street is donating is to look at donations from the "securities and investment" category.
By that measure, Obama received $17.3 million in 2008 (with Republican Sen. John McCain a distant second at $9.7 million and Clinton in that cycle at third, at $7.5 million)."
NOTE: The democrats ( obama & hillary received 24.8 million combined....to McCain's 9.7
million.

2016 ELECTIONS: This is from MSN on the 2016 election donation from Wall street. "That means Trump is losing the fundraising race among Wall Streeters by a slightly greater magnitude than in 2016. During that cycle, former New York Senator Hillary Clinton and groups aligned with her raised $88 million from the securities and investment industry, while Trump took in just $20.8 million."
